“Can someone tell me how to get a real live person on the telephone for my REI Visa? %$$&^%&*&$%&%&&& automated runaround!!!!!!! I've about had it with this crap. Worse customer service of any card I have!” 11:34:52 AM 7/05/05 “LOL I've never had a problem...good luck!” 11:35:55 AM 7/05/05 Try this. “When you get to the automated system dial "0". This normally forwards you to a real live person.” 11:37:32 AM 7/05/05 “"Cardmember Service Representatives are available 24-hours a day, 7 days a week," BULL#&%!$!!!!!!!!” 11:38:16 AM 7/05/05 “I'll try that lumber, thanks!” 11:38:55 AM 7/05/05 “Depending on the menu system, hitting either 0 or # three times might dump you to an operator....in Bangalore. I don't know what system US Bank uses for private label cards though. Good luck.” 11:40:16 AM 7/05/05 “^%&*%*&^%$%&(*^%$^%(*^*&$&%^$^$&*%%$#%^$!!!!!!!!!!! Zero did not work!” 11:42:36 AM 7/05/05 “The three #'s did it, HPM. Thanks for the tip. I was about ready to take my telephone handset and drive to Atlanta (My nearest REI) and beat the nearest "Customer Service Rep" with it. ;-)” 11:50:52 AM 7/05/05 “Sorry the press "0" thing didn't work. Glad to see HPM's advice did. I'll have to remember that in the future.” 11:57:08 AM 7/05/05 “Cool, glad to be of help” 12:01:38 PM 7/05/05 “One of the better ways to cut through an automated help system is consistently enter crap info. Like the three #s. A # usually means the end of a valid selection. You just entered nothing nothing nothing. The system thinks that you are having a problem using the system and if set up by smart people will assume that you really need a human and will redirect you to one. If set up by idiots it will dump you out of the system and hang up on you.” 12:07:49 PM 7/05/05 “US BANK SUCKS Stove..you may as well get in the car and drive to their office..lol” 12:54:05 PM 7/05/05 “If you don't press anything you often get a response, as in "if you are calling from a rotary phone, stay on the line and a representative will help you"” 6:49:49 PM 7/05/05 you all must be... “handicapped...I've NEVER had a problem, and I monitor and work my credit cards like a poker player. I move money around monthly whenever it is advantageous. Usually, I can manage to save 50-100 bucks a quarter when I do that. Zeroing out is always the way to go though. or...don't do anything...there are still dial phone out there that don't allow "pressing numbers". If your with a voice system, simply say "operator now". and you will be connected to the next available operator...and another tip...do your banking at 10 pm or later. less traffic. good luck.” 7:22:03 PM 7/05/05
