I don't care much for the lemon pepper, but the hickory smoked is really good.

I thought this was a thread about tuna recipes... ;-)

I got a recipe once, I believe it used biscuits as a base (you know, the kind in the tube) but I'm sure you could use instant Bisquick as well:

(It's been a long time since I made this recipe, so I'm guessing on the amounts-- you might want to experiment)

1 can of pre-made biscuits (substitute 1 pkg instant biquick biscuits (the small plastic pouches that only use water, not the kind in the big bisquick box))

1 can of tuna
1-1/2 tablespoons of extra crunchy peanut butter
1 or 2 single serve pack of mayonnaise or enough to bind all ingredients)
Salt and pepper to taste

1) make the biscuit mix and spoon into foil muffin cups.
2) mix the 3 ingredients for the tuna together, It should be creamy, but not runny in texture.
3) spoon the tuna mix into the center biscuit dough in each muffin cup.
4) Bake until the biscuits are done!

You can also use one of those single serve packs of cream cheese instead of mayonnaise... :-)

Sounds weird, but actually tastes pretty good. :-)

The hickory smoked is awesome....but I'm with chili on the other flavors. Lemon and sweet&sour are sort of gagalicious.

I thought the Sweet and Spicey was pretty good on a wrap as well as the Hickory Smoked. I haven't tried the Lemon Pepper.

I'm kinda partial to the Sweet and Spicy---that and the Smoked are about the only kind of tuna I can eat right out of the pouch without having to add anything. Sweet and Spicy is great on wraps with some lettuce and tomato.

to me the lemon pepper sounded like the safest most logical flavor choice, the lemon is overpowering, and the pepper sits on the bottom making it uneatable

Funny...I have tried them all, and I only ever buy the lemon pepper anymore. Don't care much for any of the others if I have a choice.

OOOOOoooo, you know what's really yummy? Now you can get an albacore steak in a foil packet. They have a couple different flavors. My favorite is, you guessed it, the lemon peppercorn. They are especially good wrapped in a tortilla. The steak filet is a solid piece of fish about the size of a big hamburger patty.

I know my recipe sounds weird, but it actually tastes very good... :-)

I have a friend who has a sauce used for meatballs-- grape jelly & dijon mustard.... Again, it sounds nasty, but is surprisingly good.

:-)

The hickory smoked tuna sounds good... we may try them out sometime

Make one of the Lipton Pastas and dump in either the smoked tuna or lemon pepper tuna. We tried it last year on SierraPalooza 2004 and it was quite good.

Also mixed up the Sweet & Sour Tuna with mayonnaise and served it on hummus and crakers...yummy.

Hey Pink, I have a similar recipe for meatballs that always gets raves. My sauce is equal parts grape jelly and chili sauce poured over the meatballs and simmered in a crock pot. Great for parties.

I liked the lemon pepper and the herb & garlic.

The others sound gross.

Never heard of the flavor "Streamweaver". Mild basket overtones with an undercurrent of fresh water?

Yam, I've never had a dry one. They are usually packed with a bit of juice and the meat is moist. That's too bad that you had a bad one. I'd call the customer service number to them and let them know. Usually when you do that, they will send you free product coupons or some other great deal.
