Can anyone tell me where to find White Creek and it's falls in or near the Sipsey Wilderness in Alabama. I've seen pictures and would love to visit to photograph the falls.

TIA!

I know about White oak hollow...it has some draws with creeks, and small ripples/falls

I'm in the Birmingham area.

unclewayne_bama has pics of what he describes as White Creek's upper & lower falls. http://community.webshots.com/photo/115831142/115831237pBozGF

The closest I can find on any map is Whitman Creek and White Oak Hollow. I've hiked part of the way into White Oak hollow from the west and can't see those falls being on the creek in there. I could be wrong, though. It happened once before, 1986, I think... ;-)

Oooook....I need to go hiking with uncle wayne. I thought I was relatively familiar with Sipsey but it appears I've got a lot to learn. Wow.

BAMA is a good one to go hiking in the Sipsey with too! He knows all about the area and is a great history teacher.

Yup...I've talked with BAMA as well about some of his 'secrets' but have yet to hit the trail with him. Still waiting for the invite ;)

I'd sure like to hike to some Bankhead falls with Uncle Wayne or Bama, too.

I've seen pics of last year's Sipsey trip. Is there going to be another one (not a trail maintenance trip) this year?

If so, my wife & I will be there.
