In other words, what did you add to the thread? It's called sarcasm or verbal irony.

You see, your comment was added specifically to incite and inflame, not to contribute positively to the conversation.

In other words, your comment was undeniably meant to start trouble and I was merely pointing out that fact.

I originally stated my opinion. Someone took offense to my opinion and I clarified my position. I then offered to let it drop. You decided to "stir the pot" for no other reason than to do it.

As much fun as this has been I gotta go for now.

I was in the Cancun area the last time (?) a hurricane hit - Hurricane Isidore in 2002. Here's 1 pic (you can hunt around for more if you feel like it):

" I have a BIG problem with illegal aliens. I also have a problem with ANYONE who comes to live in my country without knowledge of my language and without any desire to learn the language.

We shouldn't HAVE to learn Spanish to communicate with them in the US. They should HAVE to learn English. I think learning Spanish is nice if you want to do it but no one should be forced to learn it just to communicate with the illigal aliens (who have no business here) in our cities
."

That's like in the movie "Dances with Wolves"... what the Native Americans said about the white man.

Huracán Emily
Hurricane Emily gathers strength in Gulf
"The storm weakened during the rampage but once back out to sea it began to strengthen again, developing sustained winds of nearly 90 mph. Forecasters expected Emily, a Category 1 hurricane, to hit northeastern Mexico, possibly as a major hurricane, as early as Tuesday night."

"La tormenta debilitada durante el alboroto pero se retira una vez al mar que comenzó a consolidar otra vez, desarrollando los vientos sostenidos de casi 90 mph. Los previsionistas esperaron que Emily, un huracán de la categoría 1, golpeara México del noreste, posiblemente como huracán importante, desde la noche de martes."

How can a person not learn Spanish? Even McDonalds prints everything in both English and Spanish.

¿Cómo no puede una persona aprender español? Incluso McDonalds imprime todo en inglés y español.
Sometimes I get mad at myself, as I find myself reading everything twice.

Hurricane EMILY Public Advisory 4 AM CDT WED JUL 20 2005

...OUTER EYEWALL OF MAJOR HURRICANE EMILY MOVING ONTO THE
NORTHEASTERN COAST OF MEXICO...

MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE NEAR 125 MPH...205 KM/HR...WITH HIGHER
GUSTS.
THIS MAKES EMILY A DANGEROUS CATEGORY THREE HURRICANE ON THE
SAFFIR-SIMPSON SCALE. FLUCTUATIONS IN STRENGTH ARE POSSIBLE BEFORE
LANDFALL...AND THERE IS STILL A CHANCE THAT EMILY COULD BECOME A
CATEGORY FOUR HURRICANE.
