After a couple of weeks in the 90's, I broke down and bought this:
http://www.campsaver.com/product.php?cid=377&pid=12131

I really wanted a freestanding, 2 man tent ( I like ROOM) that was all screen, with 2 doors (I can never make up my mind which way is the best side to exit on), a rainfly that would allow me to see out both doors (everyone that knows me is aware I like to see what's coming to eat me), a vestibule(with the Hubba Hubba, I get TWO!), something that weighed less than my 15 year old Backcountry 2 which, while it serves me well most of the time, is not light or great when it's in the 90's. I wanted a tent I can erect on a beach so the Hennessy won't cut it...

Hopefully it'll come before the summer is over

Whatcha think of my choice?

I like it! It would be nice to have a vestibule to cook under when it's rainy.

If you're happy with it, you made the right choice.

2 vestibules! My 4 season winter tent had 2 doors...I really liked it and, in this heat and with the humidity, all screen inner tent is a must...I'll let you know what I think of it...I don't expect to use it much backpacking...you know me, have tree, will hang;)...but, those beach campsites are looking real good right now...it's only in the 70's near Lake Superior..WINTERTIME! LOL....

MH, the Hubba Hubba is the best tent I've had yet. It's great even in adverse weather, although it can be a little breezy because of wind coming under the rainfly at the vestibules. HPM took MY tent with him to Montana this week, and he's sharing it with Madman, who lurks here. If I find ANY damage to my tent, they're both dead.

Why so tough? You know they would buy you a new one and a dozen roses!

Let's just hope they return OK. OK?

Knowing those 2, that's bull$#!^.

Well, maybe not that bad.

Madman and HPM went on a previoous trip to the Smokies and bailed early. I was up there too, elsewhere in the park, and didn't know they left early. Madman wanted to just ditch me without letting me know what happened or having HPM try to reach me.

A daughter of mine and her friends were robbed at gunpoint a week ago in Costa Rica. They got my newest backpack with all her stuff except her cash and ID, which she carried in her pockets.

I'm just happy that she and her friends are OK.

HUBBA HUBBA!! I have tent envy! This heat is unbearable! I live in the North for a reason. I'm melting....

Good for you! I think it's awesome.

You've got to let me know how you like it (once you get to try it) because it's also on my "possible choices" list for a new tent.

MSR Hubba/Hubba
Nice tent and a good choice, at least from the reviews, I've seen?
I'll probably get one eventually?
You could join my upcoming Sept.23rd-25th Mich. U.P. trip and you can give it a try-out further?
