Man, people are dropping out like the prices at Wal-Mart. That being said, is anyone but me still going?

I believe I'm still heading up (next) Thursday morning with da 'Fridge, and we'll be camping at South Meadows that night...

I might still be able to make it, but I won't be able to take Friday off which means the earliest I can hike in is Friday night.

Hey Phantom,
I'm still planning to be there. As it's my first trip to the Daks I may need help locating the campsite Thurs night (I know that South Meadows Rd. is off the road to the Loj. That's about all I know.).

swampy, I'm assuming you will be coming from the south, taking I-87 (Adirondack Northway).
Get off of I-87 at exit 30
Head North on Route 73 for about 24 miles.
Take a left onto Heart Lake Road towards the ADK Loj.
After about 3.5 miles take a left onto South Meadows Road (it's a small dirt road)
There are campsites along the road.

Something else to note. I wouldn't recommend going up Little Marcy. It's a bushwhack to the top and I've heard there are no views from it.

NYC is a bit far for me during the work week (200 miles one way), so I guess that's a no for me.

hey GreenMonkey - how about Ricketts Glen this weekend. Ox, Phantom of the lost Soul and myself, perhaps others are hitting the Glen for a dayhike Saturday. Ox and I are camping Friday night and you're more than welcome to join us.

RG is a sweet place.

I'm out. It's done nothing but rain for about 10 straight days. I think one would need a boat to hike the trails, not to mention the danger of the water crossings with all this rain.
