I Have to Treat My Tap WaterView MessagesViewing posts 1 to 14 of 14 messages posted.
“They have announced that there was some problem at the water treatment plant and that we have to boil our tap water. I assume that I can, but I guess I'd like to hear some confirmation. Can I just use my water filter or my Aqua Mira?” 5:26:55 PM 7/20/05 “yep, unless the problem at the plant is viral. If its simply bacterial, then your fine.” 5:30:43 PM 7/20/05 “They only said there was a loss of pressure, therefore we have to boil our water. I don't know what that means really.” 5:32:17 PM 7/20/05 “It means there is a leak in the main somewhere and the water is potentially contaminated. You can probably just filter it.” 5:34:27 PM 7/20/05 “Boil it for 5 minutes ruby.” 5:37:48 PM 7/20/05 “Filtration is fine. We've had to do that a few times.” 5:39:48 PM 7/20/05 “I've quit drinking water anyway since I cnat holdit down one way or the other. :|” 5:42:10 PM 7/20/05 “Why chance it. Just drink beer instead of water.” 5:46:43 PM 7/20/05 “Hey Ruby, You need some of my lemonade. My special lemonade will never have any virus, or bacteria . hehe, You know!!!” 6:08:26 PM 7/20/05 “Fridge, Hey! Did you see my thread to you? I want to talk to you about your lemonade.” 6:15:54 PM 7/20/05 “A town I used to live in did the same thing once. Only thing is, I didn't find out about it until way after the fact, so I never did boil, filter, or treat the water. Guess I got lucky - I didn't get sick :-)” 7:21:25 PM 7/20/05 “You know, Woodzie, I suspect the same is true here. There is probably nothing wrong with the water, but they said that just to cover their butts.” 7:38:28 PM 7/20/05 Town Water? “What's that? My well used to be at 325' deep. Now it;s 710' deep & hydrofractured twice. Cost about 12k just to have water. Almost walked away from the house. Glad I didn't. It's been great for many years now. It is COLD & tastes great.” 8:05:29 PM 7/20/05 “I'm jealous, Cats. I used to have well water, then filtered via reverse osmosis. By far the best water I have ever tasted.” 8:12:25 PM 7/20/05
