Over the week of July 4th my family all spent the week on the north shore of Tahoe. It's tradition. Okay, we've only done it two times in a row now, but we still count it as a tradition. We went up parasailing and I brought my camera up there.

While up there I was followed by an unmanned Predator craft but I destroyed it with a small laser-guided missile that I often carry on my person. Don't worry, I have the proper permits.

I'm always hoping to get this scene when it's glass but I always catch it during a tsunami. The water is crystal clear and pretty shallow so it makes for a good see-through-the-water-shot. But nooOOooOOooo. It was extremely choppy thanks to the tail end of Hurricane Dennis, which ended up hitting Lake Tahoe harder than it did Florida.

These are from a meadow close to where we stayed. The colors of these two type of flowers make up one of my favorite wildflower combos. I also like white bikinis against tan skin, but that's a different dealy bob.

This was the sunset on our last night there, which made it more difficult to leave. I'm thinking about buying Lake Tahoe and relocating it closer to where I live.

It skipped this photo, sorry, I'm a rookie.

Thanks for all three threads, Buck.

I can't decide which I look forward to more, the pics or the captions. :)

Beautiful pictures Buck!

How was the lake Temp? I have heard it is quite warm right now, I have not been yet, but went swimming in Echo lake on Tuesday and it was really warm.

As everyone else said, great pics and thanks for sharing. And now I have DSL so I can see them easier.

What I like best about looking at your photoes are your captions. I get to enjoy the view and laugh at the same time. Nothing better when one is sitting at a desk.
