and i'm having a terrible day and don't want for this mouse to die....it's soooo tiny...but then again...we don't need another mouse in the apartment...i don't know what to do but i feel bad that there's this tiny tiny baby mouse currently in a plastic take-out dish with papertowel...

any suggestions?

I could feed it to one of my lizzards or tarrantulas. Some of them like mice. It would be too small for the python.

At first I thought it said you found a baby moose on your kitchen floor.

I was like "Where do you live?"

and it's making little mouse chirps :(

I know it's a rodent...but still, it's so tiny and helpless

Mice carry disease and they are destructive. Flush it down the john and be done with it. Then buy either a Victor mouse trap or mouse poison.

You could call the ASPCA to see if they might take it, or have any ideas of what to do with it.

Feed it cheese. Don't forget to give it water too. You don't want a dehydrated mouse.

It died last night. It was too young to have lost its mommy.

I know this might sound disgusting...but part of me wanted to put it in a vial with some preservative...it was really cool looking.

Where there is one, there is bound to be 2 and 3 and 4 and 5 and 6 and 12 and 23 and 45 and 102!

Is it a baby mouse? If so, catch it and put it in an empty beer bottle. Bring the bottle to the store and tell them, "I found a mouse in my beer, eh." They should give you a free case.

We get those here. I have a wind-up mouse trap. It will catch 2-3 at a time and then I won't see them for months. I forget to check it every few weeks and I'll find a few in there that have eaten a few others and are eyeing each other. It's pretty gruesome stuff. I drive them away from my house and over a river before I let them go.

Yeah, I know, not very nice.

I had a bad problem with them 2 years ago. I have a basement full of them.

I would set a trap up and catch one. Reload and catch one 10 seconds later.

they're just coming in to get warm...turn your heat off for 3 or 4 days and they'll leave...but then you might have other problems to deal with

its a bad year for them...I check the traps everynight and usually catch 2 or three...

Get a wind-up trap that catches more than one mouse. You can get them fairly cheap at do it yourself pest control (use Google to get the URL). You wind them up and set them down. They don't even need bait. The buggers crawl into this tunnel and trigger the trap that flips them into a holding area. Then you carry the whole thing out somewhere and empty it. It works well. I have caught 5 in one evening and then didn't have another one for almost a year.

My father uses sticky traps to catch mice...then he expects me to pull the little buggers off the stickum...I did it once got it off in bits and pieces, now I just throw the whole thing away when he isn't looking.

In nyc there's no nice way to deal with rodents. :( I like the snap traps...gets them, hopefully, quick. Sticky traps are mean...takes too long to do the job. Catch and release...propogates the issue for someone else.

Only if the trap snaps them on the neck. And then do they really die instantly, or is the trap just too stron for them to get out of?

Catch and release...propogates the issue for someone else.

LOL...I do that, but I figure the little buggers have acres to find a new home.
