Most of the peopls, who have seen me during the past two years, appreciate my problems. A few others cannot understand the words, which are pretty clear. If only my condition could be as good as they imagine.

But I do manage to get around and things could be a lot worse. Last night I saw a man playing pool. He plays fairly well and has recently been taking lessons to improve his game. He appears to be less than two feet tall and cannot stand or walk. He uses an electric cart with a seat that can be adjusted for elevation and numerous other special pieces of equipment. Just seeing him provides me with lots of strength.”

In all seriousness, the kid probably laughs at cars passing by. There was no reason he had to be there laughing while everyone else had to suffer who paid a lot of money I'm sure to see that movie. The parents should be sensitive to the people in the theatre.

I can't believe you guys are standing up for these parents who obviously have no consideration for others - and are most likely trying to make a quick buck off of their child's disability.

You made the claim that I would treat handicapped poorly. As you know, I said NOTHING about how I would treat handicapped people, except I did say I would allow the handicapped person to stay and refund everyone else's money. All other comments were about the contract between the theater goers and the theater owner.

Your decision to attempt to portray me as a bad guy, as somebody who would treat handicapped people poorly, IS insulting - rather you'd like to admit it or not. If somebody accused you of that, I'm sure you would feel they are completely out of line as well.

You don't have to make a public apology to me as I hinted online. I am writing to you offline because I don't like the personal wars that show up so often on trailtalk, and resolving them there only makes things worse. I forgive you for your baseless claims. You must have a serious issue that has clouded your view of this - you apparently are very sensitive to this and are quick to react instead of listen to what people have to say.

My reason for emailing you is to try to help you to further alienate yourself from good people. If people who know me read what you wrote about me, they'd be FLOORED. You couldn't be any further from the truth on how I treat or feel about handicapped people, or any people for that matter.

I've been accused of being a racist on trailtalk. My wife and my best friend is black. I've had as many black friends as white friends throughout my life. To hear that is just INCREDIBLE. My mouth still waters as a recall this past Christmas we spent with a black family and ate "soulfood".

I've been accused of being somebody who hates homosexuals on trailtalk. That's funny, not only do I have gay friends who would disagree entirely (one who sat at the guest of honor table at our wedding), but I have stood up in a room full of Christians where a small handful of people were making the slightest faces when the word "homosexual" was mentioned, and I lovingly chastised them as hypocrites (paraphrase). I have stood out against gay-bashing, yet FOR NO REASON, and am accused of being a gay-hater. INCREDIBLE!

In context, once again, I did not say the kid should not go to movies, I said his parents shouldn't have let him be there laughing loudly at inappropriate parts while disturbing a whole theater. That was a comment on the parents, not the kid. Read the thread! And yes, many handicapped kids DO laugh at anything. I've known some. Do you deny that reality?
