“I introduced several TT'ers on the Sierra Trip to a backpacking food I found from NC. The group asked that I post the web address, so here it is: www.adventurefoods.com I really love there foods and they are very light. Seem to be great people to work with also. last edited: 7/27/05 4:42:23 PM” 4:41:33 PM 7/27/05 “creekjumper, thanks. I bookmarked the site to check out later.” 4:50:56 PM 7/27/05 “Sometimes it's great to do those low elevation hikes and camp where you can bring in any food you want.” 12:03:05 AM 7/28/05 “i haven't tried that food yet. i'm still partial to enertia meals.” 12:08:29 AM 7/28/05 “The foods sound yummy, but expensive.” 9:26:09 AM 7/28/05 “ScorchFire....I to love Enertia foods, but enjoy Adventure foods also for something a bit different. last edited: 7/28/05 9:41:33 AM” 9:41:14 AM 7/28/05 “I haven't tried Adventure foods yet, but something I really like is they will modify (for a fee) their ingredients to accommodate special dietary needs.” 9:45:19 AM 7/28/05 “Hi, CJ. I looked at the site, but I can't figure out the pricing scheme. There's a price, but I don't see where it says the quantity for that price. The choices look great.” 9:54:54 AM 7/28/05 “wannabp, download the brochure (PDF file) it has a price list.” 9:59:09 AM 7/28/05 “ScorchFire....I to love Enertia foods, but enjoy Adventure foods also for something a bit different it does look really good. i'll have to try some out soon.” 6:08:20 PM 7/28/05 “my all time fav is the enertia cheesecake... creekjumper, your adventure foods did look awesome. but I find their website really confusing...” 6:12:31 PM 7/28/05 “True Gemini....I found the best thing to do is print out their brochure or give them a call. Remember...I think this is a basic operation. Let me know what you think ScorchFire.....Their Greek Pasta Salad is the best! But I love most all their foods.” 6:16:46 PM 7/28/05 “CJ, we were checking out their website. For those of us that do freezer bag cooking there are a lot ingredients they have available that we've been unable to find. For instance I've been looking high and low for ham to go with my cheddar cheese Idahoan brand mashed potatoes. They got it! We were joking around about the powdered wine. ; ) But seriously a beef burgandy over noodles sounds might tasty! Thanks again for the tip! And hey lady! I went to PayLess and bought myself some of those crazy clogs you southerners have. They rock! Thanks for letting me check out yours. : )” 6:37:26 PM 7/28/05 “Cool Pixie! I love mine...have them on right now!” 9:13:59 PM 7/28/05 “gem, i LOOOOOVE enertia cheesecake!!! the blueberry one,.. mmmmmm. creek, i will definitely let you know what i think... gotta wait for my paycheck to come in on monday to order anything.” 9:41:10 PM 7/28/05 “I thought the cheesecake was OK; I'd get it again: http://community.webshots.com/photo/202037628/202075876XICvWw Speaking of food, I came across this article today: http://www.stanfordalumni.org/news/magazine/2005/julaug/show/cuisine.html” 12:06:47 AM 7/29/05 lol.. I found my motto! ““Do not take what you do not like to eat.” Love that line from the article you posted BD ;-)Says it quite nicely!” 9:56:44 AM 7/29/05 “I like those guys! My favorite quote is “Rick and I are not newsworthy,” says Kahn. “Nothing happens except we have a good time. And we always have a good time.”” 12:38:06 PM 7/29/05 “Wal Mart... Nesco American Harvest dehydrator... $40. You'll have as much ham as you'll ever need... and any other ingredient for that matter.” 12:43:03 PM 7/29/05
