Why should I support President Bush?

“I want to know! Please give me reasons. What has he done for this country, the world, me, you, those in poverty, the middle class, the working class, the environement, the homeless, the economy and our nation's security? What has been his positive accomplishments?

His supporters are constantly on the defensive and never say anything that speaks of accomplishment. All they do is downplay his failures and lack of accomplishment and work to discredit his scandels.

I want to believe that Bush is an honest man. I want to believe that our country is guided by strong conviction and principle and a leadership that abides to the foundation transcribed in the constitution. I am struggling.

Is Bush a good president? Please explain.

What has he done for:
1. this country: He has, through his leadership, given this country a positive belief / sense that we would not roll over to the demands of terrorists. I shudder to think what Slick Willie (AKA Shrink Willie) would have done had he still been in office on 9/11). GW has also provided a solid, unshakable belief in the tenets of Free Enterprise, and has supported those through his actions.
2. the world: He has been a beacon / lighthouse shining to the world - showing the world that we are consistent in our beliefs, that we will not shirk from our responsibilities just because of opposition from the weak or uninformed.
3. me. You are seriously misinformed. When & where did you ever get the belief that the Pres of the U.S. should do something FOR YOU? He shouldn't do anything for you, YOU should do things for you! Stop whining & DO SOMETHING! If he provides you with a stable system that would then allow you, UNDER YOUR OWN INITIATIVE, to succeed, then he's done what he should. HOW DARE YOU ASK THE PRES OF THE US TO DO SOMETHING FOT YOU???? How about YOU do something for you, and stop blaming others because you aren't succeeding?

It's not the Pres fault that they abused drugs or alcohol in their youth to end up that way. And, for those that are there due to nature's selection, we have security-net systems in place to cover their basic needs. We alsop provide tax benefits to other organizations that provide services to the needy, so they are not penalized by doing so. Do some research, incidentally, and you'll find that those on the lowest rung on the economic ladder here in the U.S. live FAR FAR better than about 65% of the the rest of the world who "live in poverty". Livbing here in the U.S. ain't all that bad, in comparison!

1. We didn't necessaarily "invade" Afganistan, we went there to pursue THE TERRORISTS. NO ONE disagrees that that was the home of the terrorist cells / training grounds. So, yes, he did everyone in the world a favor by goin to Afganaistan. I don't think even the Michael Moore / Moveon.org crowd disagree with that.

2. Tax policy is a complex subject we're not goiung to adequately address in a few posts here. Having said that, I ask the following question: What % of your income do you pay in taxes if you're income is:
