decided to keep our latest foster dog. i can't understand how anyone could abuse such a perfect pup.
she's 8months old, great with kids, listens, behaves perfectly in the house, and likes everyone-including the evil felines that also live here.

Congrats on the trail dog. My doggie is far from a perfect pup, but I guess I love him anyway:)

That's a good looking dog! We adopted a rottie a while back. Same story. Brought him home and after a few "rough" days we couldn't figure out why anyone would not care for a dog like this guy. I am a big fan of animal adoption but an even bigger fan of people that foster dogs. That's really outstanding. I wish I had the time.

ok-remember that i didn't pick out the name:

her name is trixie
too bad that she knows it so well; i woulda liked to rename her - something more dignified.
trixie sounds like a stripper's name

pitts- i didn't think i had time for a dog right now either, but then the rescue people called - it was an emergency - and how could i say no. usually a foster dog is with us for only a couple weeks but the kids wanted to keep trix as soon as they met her. guess i did too since i didn't put up much of a fight.

Our dog was named "Elvis". We kept the name first because it was cool as hell but also we figured that the name he had when we adopted him (his "shelter name") must be lucky. If you do decide to change her name she will start to respond quickly. She is a smart lady, you can tell from the picture. I am betting within a week, if you are consistent, her new name will fit her like she had it from birth.
