16 Days left
No more time for Djibouti Africa! I only have sixteen days left.

I also have duty today and will be posting ALL DAY LONG!!! (I am bored, entertain me PLEASE)

I think that a weekend trip (Asheville, NC Area) needs to be planned so I can actually meet some of you people. The floor is now open for suggestions....

I'll miss these little guys...

Best of luck, Willie. Let us know if you are going to be up in the Northeast. I'd like to meet you!

I can see why you would miss those little cuties. Pictures speaks volumes, sometimes...

Yeah, I'd like to meet you too BW! Maybe you could just do a tour of TTdom? You'd better wait until next summer to come up here though. Going from Africa to Michigan in the Fall might be rough on your heating system!

3 year - pshaw - I've been counting down since the day I turned 55 - a 5 year count down - its part of a plan on my part to encourage the management to give me a SERO - unfortunately the economy has been disgustingly healthy lately and very few SEROs have been offered and none for exempt employees. Current count down from timeanddate.com :
1415 days
33971 hours
2038281 minutes
122296861 seconds

With respect to a hike near Asheville we aught to put together a trip to Panthertown Valley - that's fairly close as I recall.

Other possibilities would be Linville area / Lost Cove or possibly Shining Rock area

Asheville is part of my work territory...I'll just keep checkin back.

Thanks! I kinda wanted to stay for a while, I like it here.

I do however really miss Green plants and dirt that is not sand or rock. I also miss REALLY COLD WATER.

I think that a trip to some of the Falls in Joyce Kilmer may be what I am looking for. I will freeze my ass off, but that will be a great change from this heat!

I'll be flying into Ashville this weekend for my pre-trip training near Cullowhee. Too bad you won't be home. :(

Have a safe trip home and be sure to visit the NE for a TT trip some time. We'll show you how it's done. ;p
