I think that a weekend trip (Asheville, NC Area) needs to be planned so I can actually meet some of you people. The floor is now open for suggestions....

With respect to a hike near Asheville we aught to put together a trip to Panthertown Valley - that's fairly close as I recall.

Other possibilities would be Linville area / Lost Cove or possibly Shining Rock area”

I do however really miss Green plants and dirt that is not sand or rock. I also miss REALLY COLD WATER.

I think that a trip to some of the Falls in Joyce Kilmer may be what I am looking for. I will freeze my ass off, but that will be a great change from this heat!”
