“I don't know about this. Having someone waiting with food,shelter and all the comforts of home each and every time he comes to a road is not my idea of hiking the AT. I do not think he should be compaired to the AT thru hikers. He didn't even wear a backpack just a fanny pack with little if nothing in it. Granted he travelled fast ,some days were fifty miler ones but who cares when it comes down to "all about mileage". I think he missed the point of hiking the AT all together. Oh well just my take on such a magnificent trail and ones appreciation of it.

“I was packing too many teenagers. LOL Nine between the ages of 14-16. I should have brought tequila. ;-)”

“I think I would have needed something stronger than tequila to deal with 9 teenagers.”

“I brought a wooden mallet that said "Attitude Adjuster" on the side. Hung it off the back of my pack and didn't have a problem all week. 8D”

“I drank some moonshine when I was in high school once. The stuff had to have been pretty close to 190 proof. If you let it sit too long it would evaporate out of your cup.”

“We made moonshine when I was a kid. The stuff was smooth as silk on the tongue but when it hit the back of your throat it left you gasping for air as your food pipe slammed shut in rebellion. We tested it out and most batches fell between 180 and 190 proof.”
