Actually I see politics have become much more of a religion than most religious people take their faith. Everyone is so pushed to the ends of their spectrums and everything becomes a refusal to give an inch or concede anything. It’s like if they admit one single point their whole belief system falls down like a house of cards. I’ve seen this with a lot of religious people before. The comparison is remarkable and interesting at the same time.”

Many are wrapped up in identity moreso than actual substance. It seems as long as identity stays rigidly intact substance can be convienently fluid.
