I guess there is no such thing as a crappy day in Yosemite.

I wanted to take some more sunset shots along Tioga Road on Saturday so I loaded up my '68 Coronet convertible with all my goodies and headed off to the hills. Unfortunately the car overheated 10 miles past the Crane Flat gas station. Thankfully a guy stopped and made 6 trips to a nearby river to fill up my radiator using a 32 ounce Nalgene and an empty Gatorade bottle.

I wish I would have gotten a picture of all the steam. It was quite impressive!

I decided against going further out and turned back to Yosemite Valley to see what I could shoot. I decided to set up at the "Bridalviel Fall View". I don't think it really has a name, but if you've been to Yosemite, you know the place.

I made it home without any further incedent. :-)

Thanks Everybody!

It was cool to take out the convertible, even if it did rain a bit and with all the car troubles. It's nice to know that there are people out there willing to help. I just hate to have to depend on others for help right now.

Gotcha Pants! ;)

Very nice, Mikester! I especially like the image with the long-exposure water and the red log in the foreground.

Beautiful pictures..I love the bridalveil fall at sunset....something with the way the sun shining on the trees makes them that cool looking green shade..almost florescent looking
& the colors in the granite.

Thank you for sharing
