Knee Pain and Beer

“I know that I am kinda new and psoting much, but our workplace internet has outlawed any sites that have photographs so text based sites are my thing now...but I degress.

Do any of you suffer an ache in your knees the next day after you drink a beer or two?

I never have had any knee related injuries, but i have noticed this for several years when I do drink, once a month maybe. A friend of mine was allergic to something in the beer and he had joint pain but I do not think that is my case.

Any one experience this?

“On a more serious note, you may have a touch of gout in your knees. Alcohol can exacerbate this.”

“A friend has the same reaction to wine, because of a mild allergy to sulfites in the wine. Does the beer you drink have anything like that in it?”

“dont know but I will check into that. Noticed it is more severe when I drink dark beer. i.e. Yeungling dark or Amber-Bock. I'm not into microbrews, not edjykated enough to drink those.”

“freight, dark beers do some funky things to me too(see above post, in addition to that one i usually have a head ache the next day...not a hangover head ache though, cause this happens even after 2 or 3 beers...but i'll take that over drinking that warm pizz some people call beer (see choors, bud, miller etc.)”

“It took me years to figure out why I had knee pain after drinking beer and if it were not for a single episode of NOT drinking in a blackout I still wouldn't know. It's very simple. When I drink I pee a lot. When finished I give it the customary two or three shakes and, being a little inebriated I shake a little too vigorously and repeatedly bang it against my knees. Hope my experience helps.”
