“The movie "Corporation" is a must see! Most people don't know the history of corp's in America, thier legal obligations, and the harm taht they levy on the world. Check it out, it's in video stores now. link last edited: 8/12/05 7:56:14 AM” 7:54:27 AM 8/12/05 “Yes, we must do away with all corporations. They are all evil.” 9:32:43 AM 8/12/05 “Che Chavez is waiting for you, Buddha Bear. Go home to your ilk.” 9:34:26 AM 8/12/05 “Buddha Bear, do you support beer corporations?” 9:37:57 AM 8/12/05 “Mutt, did you watch the film? Do you know the history of corporations in America? This country wasn't founded upon corporations, nor did it become the greatest nation in the world with them. Inform yourself.” 9:42:32 AM 8/12/05 “The film was made by Big Picture Media Corporation. Their website designed by Good Company Communications, Inc..” 9:46:50 AM 8/12/05 “way to get the point Sarge, yet again. dumbass.” 9:48:33 AM 8/12/05 “BB typed his response on his self-made computer, using no big-corporatation produced parts. He watched the film on his self-made DVD player and television.” 9:51:30 AM 8/12/05 “Viva la labor!!! ”9:59:10 AM 8/12/05 “Gulliver among the Lilliputians” 10:00:07 AM 8/12/05 “Geo, whatever gets himself riled up enough to drink more corporate beer is ok by him. Generalizations included.” 10:03:18 AM 8/12/05 “lol, who knew communists were so short? A corporation is a tool to be used for good or ill. It can not be denied that a whole lot of bad things have been done using a corporate entity as a shield. There are several painfully obvious examples out there right now. But on the flipside, I'd like to point out that there are corporations that are not run that way. So BB, what exactly does this group propose to be changed? Most of what I saw online was a lot of "party for the cause" language that, honestly, I find difficult to take seriously. It sounds more like they don't really have a plan other than to get folks to discuss it.” 10:22:42 AM 8/12/05 “HPM - that is the plan, more or less, get people to discuss the issue. I agree that a corporation, present day, is a tool to be used for good or ill. The documentary provides you with an education as to the history of corpoartions, and the laws surrounding thier inception and current status. One thing that I liked about the documentary wass the fact that they interviewed folks from both sides of the coin. CEO's, Labor Leaders, Stock Brokers, economists, law professors, even a inter-corporate spy (interesting guy). One of the corporate advocates even stated that every inch of everything should be owned by somebody, including air, water, and our own genes! A compelling thought, although I disagreed with it.” 11:01:12 AM 8/12/05 “Somebody does own my genes. Me!” 11:09:17 AM 8/12/05 “You better patent them Geo! Halliburton may buy them up, and sell them for $2.05 a pop! lol!” 11:11:58 AM 8/12/05 “Ok, that's what I figured. I have a laymans understanding of the history. Well, I think I do anyway. NEW FOR SUMMER '05 The Geobeet! Get yours today!” 11:39:36 AM 8/12/05 “No, the best I can get is $1.09, and that's with a spoonful of DNA thrown in. For $2.05 you can get a jigger of warm spit.” 11:39:46 AM 8/12/05 must see “If you haven't seen "Primary Colors", I recommend it.” 1:31:38 PM 8/12/05 “"As our nation has grown in size and stature, however—as our industrial economy expanded—these political rights proved inadequate to assure us equality in the pursuit of happiness. We have come to a clear realization of the fact that true individual freedom cannot exist without economic security and independence. “Necessitous men are not free men.” People who are hungry and out of a job are the stuff of which dictatorships are made. In our day these economic truths have become accepted as self-evident. We have accepted, so to speak, a second Bill of Rights under which a new basis of security and prosperity can be established for all—regardless of station, race, or creed. Among these are: The right to a useful and remunerative job in the industries or shops or farms or mines of the nation; The right to earn enough to provide adequate food and clothing and recreation; The right of every farmer to raise and sell his products at a return which will give him and his family a decent living; The right of every businessman, large and small, to trade in an atmosphere of freedom from unfair competition and domination by monopolies at home or abroad; The right of every family to a decent home; The right to adequate medical care and the opportunity to achieve and enjoy good health; The right to adequate protection from the economic fears of old age, sickness, accident, and unemployment; The right to a good education." -- FDR” 12:34:35 PM 8/14/05 “FDR apparently thought resources are unlimited and laziness should be rewarded. Communism never works.” 1:00:41 PM 8/14/05 “sarge is a massive, bottomless douchebag.” 1:20:11 PM 8/14/05 “Nothing like a neocon working for a state government to lecture everybody else in the world about the wonders of free enterprise!” 1:24:42 PM 8/14/05 “ad hominem's abound typical last edited: 8/14/05 1:32:26 PM” 1:31:02 PM 8/14/05 “That's because you post so many of them.” 2:00:56 PM 8/14/05 “Geo, be specific.” 2:24:23 PM 8/14/05
