had knee surgery yesterday

“well i had the tear on my left meniscus done yesterday and also had a lump taken out of my right thigh. they found a bone spur(i think that is what the hubby told me) on the knee also and removed it. i'll be off of work monday and maybe tuesday. at least i'm not feeling any pain!!!”

“Keep us posted. My husband is having surgery on a torn meniscus in three weeks. We are not looking forward to it, though the nurse said he would be fully functional in six weeks or so. I'm not sure if she understand that he is a backpacker though - our definition of fully functional includes 20 mile days.”

“Cyndee, you are now the 6 million dollar woman! Enough with the surgery already! (Yes Sarge she did) That's great that they found that other stuff when they were there! Speedy recovery to you!!

“sarge- yep i had the right one done april 1 of this year.
ginny- 6 weeks, yeah right, i'm still recovering from the right one and i had 6 wks of pt and have been riding the stationary bike and working out in the pool nex door. i actually think i may have re-torn the meniscus. no backpacking for awhile and i am even questioning if i will be up to much day hiking on our vacation out west in a month.
hey tango, we'll be up in your neck of the woods next week-end for my cousin's son's eagle ceremony. at least i have matching scars now on each knee. i think i'm going to turn them into smiley faces.”
