Live From theDoyle Hotel

“so right now Pennsy, Ox, my friend Heath and myself are sitting in the Doyle Hotel enjoying som food and beer and it is good! Crazypace had to go and is on his way home.

earlier we were hiking the Appalachian Trail in the insane 100 degree heat. Thank goodness for trees.

We started at the Bernhisel Bridge last night, hiked 4 miles and camped at the Darlington Shelter on Blue Mountain. Today we descended Blue Mountain Crossed a large meadow and then climbed Cove Mountain and then ridge walked to Hawk Rock and descended into Duncannon, PA, where we are now.

It was a great hike. Last night in camp we were almost attacked by a nearly rabbid wild pit bull, but quickly we realized he was afraid of Whoopi Goldberg impersonations and we successfully scared him off.

Today, in addition to the intense heat, were several creek crossing with deadly fire breathing pirahnas. Fortunately we survived.

The food here at the Doyle Hotel is delicious. Pictures will maybe be up tomorrow.”

“The Hotel Doyle must have changed since I stayed there. It was a flop house then.”

BTW - We had to fight off a sasquatch to get to a spring. Then the aligator tried to eat my Cliff bar.”
