I had a great time! Thanks for organizing this, Kathy. It was wonderful to meet the SoCal Group. I'm in the process of posting my photos in webshots. It's always slow on weekends.

David and I had a great time too - it was nice to put faces to names, and also see some of our regular hiking crew.

We headed up McGee Creek on our way out today and the colors toward Horsetail falls were even better than at rock creek. I hope the crew with Frank got some good sights in on their drive too!

P.S. - David probably has about 400 pictures to sort through so give me a few days to get them up on the site. :)

We had a great time! Thanks to Kathy for setting this up and to everyone who helped my wife and I with setting up camp, unloading the car, dinner and loading up!

We have somebody's drinking tube from a bladder bag as well as some snacks. Send me an e-mail with your address and I'll send them to you.

I only took 60 pictures, but I'll post a few when I look at them tonight...

The colors were great.

I've uploaded some pics.

Saturday - Rock Creek/Mono Pass/Mount Starr:

Friday - Bishop Creek/South Lake/Treasure Lakes/Hurd Peak/Long Lake:

The color shots are mixed in with the mountain shots. My group shots around camp turned out too dark. I really need a new camera. I still need to label most of the pictures.

It was really nice getting norcal and socal together. The food was great, everyone was so nice, and the fall colors were beautiful. I'm looking forward to the next group campout.

Nice pictures! That sunset was pretty awsome Saturday night, especially how it turned everything orange.

Hi again...I finally finished dowloading the photos. Webshots seems to be having trouble in the past months :-(

The colors are gorgeous. Frank drove us (me, Theresa, and Dale) towards north of 395, to 89/88. We kept stopping, and I kept shooting from inside his van. What fun! Great trip! Happy trails...

I'm heading down there this weekend. I still see some green in the aspens so there's room to still for more gold. I love it when the tips of the trees go red. Very nice photos ya'll've (<--is that a word?) been posting.

Nice photos, everyone! Looks like the aspens will still have color for the Virginia Lake trip.

Y'all've is definitely a word. I think it's when a group gets together to look at predominantly yellow color and eat olives. What about we'all'll as in "next weekend we'all'll do what y'all've done?"

Nice photos, everyone! We stopped by after lunch Sunday, but everyone was gone!

We kinda got "stuck" for a few hours after taking the wrong couloir while descending Mt Baldwin and hiked out in the dark.

Convict canyon had yellow, orange and red. Looking down at McGee Cree, we could see a lot of color all the way up the canyon. Took a few photos at Rock Creek, but most of it was around Rock Creek Lake.

Should be good this weekend. Going to Mammoth and maybe Virginia Lakes this weekend.
