Where's capital punishment when you need it?

True solitary confinement would be a much worse punishment than the death penalty.

It would be a sick form of gratification if someone would put two tee-shirts over his head and then a plastic bag over that. Then let him squirm around and pass out. Then take the bag off and do it again a month later. Let him know on a regular basis the hell of a death he put the Otero boy through (and many others).

He probably would enjoy it ...

Seriously, I am not one to root for cruel punishment. Something has to set us aside and draw the line with evil such as this. For me personally it's important to be able to say that I wouldn't do to him what he did to others. The fact that I struggle with this and don't do the kinds of things this guy did tells me I have a social conscience that is far more effective than he does.

that might work if he actually felt guilty...i watched some of his testimony from yesterday...he was loving it...he recounted the killings like a college professor teaches a class...his arrogance was really disturbing

Ten consecutive life sentences? In a row? They must expect him to live a long time. I think it would be more effective to give him only 2 life sentences in a row, let him live the third one normally, and start the consecutive sentences again on the 4th-11th years. That way it would be torture knowing you won't make it to your third life anyway.

10 life terms? Not enough. He deserves nothing but a long, slow, painful death.

His real sentencing comes later. Fear not what man can do to your flesh, but what God can do to your soul.

I was going to say something similar to that Buck, but I didn't want to start another holy war on TT. However, you are quite correct.

Disclaimer: This is just my opinion though so nobody needs to be offended, it's just my opinion. I'm not forcing anything on anyone.

thats true Buck but if you renounce your sins and accept Christ your sins are forgiven. Sorry but I have a real hard time with that.

It's not THAT easy. You also have to slip God $20, which since God is a Trinity, it'll actually cost you $60.
