New Album

“So we just got back from my daughters first backpacking trip. 6 mile hike plus some day hikes at Lake of the Woods, Desolation Wilderness. She was a trooper, carried her pack, didn't complain and still looked good! LOL

I've posted some pictures but for some reason can't seem to get more than 4 posted to the album?”

Just for Gender clarification I'm the guy in the pic with my daughter Ashley. The woman, Gemma, is the wife of one of the other guys, this would be more evident if I could get the other pics posted. My wife will go backpacking when they serve cold drinks and have a spa. The Radisson Hotel is camping to her.

Ashley is 8 and made the trek carrying her Kelty Junebug hydro pack and her clothes. A light load but best for starters. She thinks the water tube is the coolest.

I have two younger girls waiting in the wings, Erika 5, Madison 3. Maybe next year for Erika? I was very proud of Ash, she proved far tougher than the two 8 year old boys hiking with us. Neither of which carried a pack, both of which whined incessantly and since when did every stick on the ground become a gun? I'm a former servcieman and jees that bugged me. Boys are stupid, thank God I have girls.

Fertility, well all I can offer are best wishes and prayers, either Kerry (my wife) or me or both of us were super fertile so we got quite luckly, basically each kid about 30 days after going off the pill. Goes to show you that all that Beer in college really isn't damadging.

For those of you who haven't packed with kids, its a wonderful experience. For those of you who are Dads and have girls.....have fun figuring out how to get em to Pee in the woods.”
