Hope Stovey's OK!

“I don't know how to do that on my phone...it's a real simple phone and I don't see any way to check on the status of a message.

As far as his phone being dead, if he has his truck and his car charger, he could charge it up. My guess is that he just doesn't have service.”

“bit my phone is an old nokia. Look under msgs, then scroll down to msg settings, click select. there might be set 1 and commom, select common. it will say delivery report, select yes”

“go to inbox and it should show a report, click on the report and it will say pending or delivered. You may have to send a new one now

that is how I could keep checks on the kids when they wouldn't answer their cell phones..lol

I have a very minimal (read: cheap) service plan, so it might get into costing me money for too many of those TM's. If SS messages me, that will be good enough.”

“txt msg usually cost .05 each to send or recieve. I have an allotment of 500 per month for 2.99.

I have gotten a few from Div the last 2 days. Glad I have it.

lol. Thanks for the laugh, bit. I just read this thread and it's making my stomach hurt just thinking about Stovey and what he and his family are going through. That giggle was a welcome change!

“I agree Tara. I came home from A weekend trip in the Uintas Monday eve and found out what happened. It is truly a mind numbing, surrealistic, historical experience for me.

I have never met Stovie, but what everyone says about him, he is bigger(not to mention his photos:) than any Hurricane. I have a good feeling that he's OK.

Hope everthing is fine with SS, If he had time to get a few things together he would have been one to take care of himself and the rest of his family. From what I've seen of him he has a cool head on his shoulders and the stuff between the ears to get through something like this.

“Divinity called CS today. She is doing ok. They have two generators and should be able to get an A/C tomorrow. She said gas is almost non existent and even when you can find it, it is about 6 bucks.

They have plenty of water, but said that people with infants can't get any formula or diapers.”

“Just so everyone knows, some small Florida towns are focusing all their efforts on individual areas. Case in point, my aunt Caroline lives in Havana Fl.; they're sending all their aid and volunteers to help Gautier (Stovey's town.) The police chief of Havana is from there, and is Caroline's neighbor. She passed what contact information we had to him, in case he can find anything out.
We also haven't found any information on suevivor/ contact rosters at various websites either.
