I decided this morning while watching the devistation on the news that I would be making a donation today.

Hope everyone else will decide to help out too.

i'd definitely recommend donating on their website...my wife tried for about 20 minutes to get through on the phone and then gave up and did it on their website...took her like 2 minutes

I could not get the link to load. I hope that is because of all the traffic on the website.

I have done Red Cross relief work in the past and would like to volunteer time. I'm trying to figure out if there is any way I could approach my work with a request for yet more time off after being in the Sierras a lot this summer. We're seriously understaffed right now.

When I first posted it, it was early. Maybe volume picked up and they changed things. I wound up mailing a check since CC company's charge the receiver a small fee.

The company I work for is hosting a special Red Cross phone bank tomorrow, 09/01/05, from 5am to 7pm to handle phone donations. The number for this will be 1-800-497-9946. It will be covered by WRTV channel 6 the ABC affiliate. This number might be only for people in central Indiana but I'm not sure.
