Just to let you know my presence here might be scarce the next few days, although I might come here for a distraction, but my oldest daughter was in an accident yesterday and didn't make it. All three girls in the car were crushed by a rock slide on Snoqualmie Pass.

The story is here: [urlhttp://www.komotv.com/stories/39137.htm[/url]

Anyway, friends, pray for my family. We love her dearly. She was sweet and friendly - 28 years old.

Wow, that is awful news. It isn't natural for a parent to lose a child-- Packlite and his family must be devastated! It is even harder for siblings to comprehend--especially if it's an older sibling. I'm so sad to hear the news. It just goes to show you that every day should be lived to its fullest--we are not always in control of our destinies...

Packlite-- you are in my thoughts and prayers. My hubby lost his older brother 8 years ago-- it will take a long time to heal the pain (It took us years)... but please remember-- it is okay to cry and let our your feelings--even though I'm sure you feel that you must be strong for your family. Don't keep any of the emotions inside--or it will be harder to go through this challenge that has been given to your family.

Take time away to hike or be by yourself if needed and if you can get it. Write in a journal, Blog, draw, play music, whatever you need to do to release the sadness you must be feeling inside. I also definitely recommend grief counseling for your family--it's important that you feel like you are not going through this alone. Tragedies like this can really take a toll on a family....

Know that you have friends here who are keeping you in their thoughts and prayers ....

Take Care...

Packlite, there never seems to be the right words at a time like this. I'm so sorry for your loss. I live in WA, so I heard about it on the news and was horrified that a tragedy like this happened to 3 young women.

Since then, "experts" surveyed the scene, I believe thinking it may be safe now, but also were not 100% sure. They said there was no way to be 100% sure and then another huge piece of granite fell missing another car a day or so after that.
