A cavern in Oregon is filling with a liquid, probably magma. No immediate eruption is expected. This is causing a large area to rise, visible to satellites.

"It is perfectly safe for anyone over there,"

In the movies, this what the expert says right before the volcano erupts, killing him and everyone else in a 1-mile radius.

Hey, maybe the Earth is putting on a few. Heck, it is 4.5 billion years old. You'd be putting on a few pounds yourself.

If this is her menopause, what happens when she reaches the golden years?

Probably play a lot of mahjongg. I'm not too concerned.

Look at this way; we have about a billion or two years of menopause to go through before then.
