A Message from Cindy Sheehan
I don't care if a human being is black, brown, white, yellow or pink. I don't care if a human being is Christian, Muslim, Jew, Buddhist, or pagan. I don't care what flag a person salutes: if a human being is hungry, then it is up to another human being to feed him/her. George Bush needs to stop talking, admit the mistakes of his all around failed administration, pull our troops out of occupied New Orleans and Iraq, and excuse his [SIC] self from power. The only way America will become more secure is if we have a new administration that cares about Americans even if they don't fall into the top two percent of the wealthiest.

I agree with Gem. But I'm always the one asking that question and thought if I posted I would be nagging. But yup, this thread is in the wrong category. For shame.

I agree. I have fuego on "ignore" for a reason but it keeps popping up everywhere. Please help keep fuego on fuego.

You can tell when one of these nut jobs nears the end of their 15 minutes of fame. They just can't stop the crazy talk.

You know you have issues when you try to compete with a natural disaster to get the spotlight back on yourself.

I'm glad this was re-categorized as Fuego.

That said, since I have heard nothing from people in New Orleans complaining about the US troops there - and much that tells me the troops were needed there, I have to assume, sadly, that Nigal has a point. Since she put it in writing (and I read the whole thing) there is no way to say she has been misquoted or that she mispoke. Whether its the stress of all she has been doing recently and the controversy, or she was off balance well before that - she definitely looses credibility when she says stuff like that.

Funny she also takes on Pat Boone and Melanie Morgan, as if she needs their nuttiness to make her look more reasonable.

"I have to assume, sadly, that Nigal has a point."

Is it sad because my point seems accurate or just because you have to agree with me? LOL!

You have to be pretty desperate to make up stuff about a grieving mother: http://www.snopes.com/politics/war/sheehan.asp

LOL @ Nigal.

No, it's sad to think she has sunk to that.

Despite disagreeing with her on her calls for the US to withdraw from Iraq right away, I sympathized with her outrage over Shrub's deceptions. I also was aghast at some of unfair Sheehan bashing that went on. My instinct was to defend her, but after some thought - I saw you had a good point. Harshly put, but on target.
