What's with the other snake behind the one who's gonna chomp? Didn't know snakes travelled in pairs to dinner together.

There is a Spruce Mountain east of Barre, Vermont at just over 3,000 feet.

It's a two mile hike to the top to see the fire tower amongst the spruce and fir.

Those photos look just like it.

Mr. Frog got away. When the snake tried to readjust its mouth the frog pulled its rear leg out of the snake’s mouth and hopped away. I don't thing the snake could have eaten it anyway considering on of the rear legs of the frog filled its throat.

MarkO, there must be at least a dozen Spruce Mountains in the Adirondacks, but only one has a fire tower. The funny thing is the summit is less than 10miles from home and this was the first time I hike up to it.

whew. glad the frog got away. i have a pet frog in the pond out back. i would be sad if a snake tried to eat him.
