I'm # 7 for the west coast and 7 is my lucky # so watch out. NOT! It'll be fun. Can't we do the Digital disposalables though? They do make them.

A "digital disposable" camera is nothing more than a marketing ploy. It's a simple film camera, you send it or take it to the lab, and they process the film and digitize the negatives, burning the files to a CD, or placing them on a web-site.

Twon't read them all, methinks.

Suffice it to say I'm still smartin' from the nother one.

I got on the list, bought a disposable, and did numerous practice shots round my part of God's Country - only to be passed (around?).

Youn's have fun...

Hmm...Where to Go?
How to capture the Spirit of New Jersey, but from a backpacker's perspective...

I could go for an iconic image, such as Barnegat Lighthouse; but then again, who backpacks down the shore?

Or something a bit more urban, being that over 50% of New Jersey is city, such as the Statue of Liberty standing guard over New York Harbor, but once again, who backpacks in the city?

I could go for something historical - NJ is loaded with Revolution War folklore, from Washington's Crossing to Washington's Headquarters at Morristown, as well as several battlefields.

Then there's the good ol' AT: Perhaps one of it's iconic scenes, such as the Delaware Water Gap or maybe High Point's towering obelisk.

Or how about that new boardwalk the trail conference built on the AT over Pochuck Marsh. Though the place is literally mosquito city when most NOBO thru hikers come thru Jersey in July, what exemplifies New Jersey better than the boardwalk? Add to it that this particular boardwalk is part of one of the most legendary foot trail in perhaps the world, and I think we have a winner...

I think that the AT in Pochuck Marsh it is. Now I just have to find a nice and scenic spot along it...

Alright gang. I've sent out the mailing lists to those who are starting the cameras. The list is an attachment in MS Works so if ya have any trouble opening it let me know and I'll send it another way.

It looks like Pinky may be the first one to mail the Midwest camera somewhere (this is if Birch and sass pass it to Wolfeyes in person) so I sent her the list first.

Any problems just let me know.

It looks like sense we have four cameras going there shouldn’t be a rush to get your picture as soon as the camera arrives on your doorstep. I’m sure it’s going to take at least a couple months to get them all in. No big rush but don’t sit on the thing for a month either. Or we will be forced to march to your house with pitch forks and torches. LOL!

“i'm just curious where the cameras are??!!...ok, really i'm just wondering where the midwest one is but i thought i'd ask for everybody!!"

The midwest camera is with the Michiganders right now until at least the end of the month.

"oh by the way nigal, i never got a copy of this list...was this supposed to be emailed?”

The people who started the cameras were sent the list by e mail and they will send the list with the camera so the next person knows where to send it.

Naked Ape is having trouble finding a compatible camer in Italy so if anyone would want to start the east coast camera that would be great. If not I can start it.

On a side note, I had placed a disposable camera in a geocache and it's finally been used up. People take -- attempt to take -- shots of themselves. Will need to get it sent in. Will be fun (??!?) to see. lol

Also, in another geocache, I found a disposable camera travel bug. Its mission was to get shots of various scenic/famous stuff (who knew??!?) in Iowa. Took my shot right away... and now, here it sits. Was that entropy, someone said???!? lol

That sounds like a riot Lizs.... how will all the participants get to see the shots? Assuming it eventually gets all used up.
