Race aka The Cat aka Porkchop gets along fine with all my dogs :) In fact, Rusty and the kitten pretty much play with each other all day.

I had a dog and a cat once. They got along real well, as in they mostly ignored each other. The dog was there first and the cat (full grown, a stray we took in) spent the first week hiding under my desk and other inaccessible locations.

we have far too many pets. two cats, my dog and pond fish, one of the kids has a rat, another has a bunny, 1 missing snake is somewhere, two birdies and (i'm so happy!!!) two "pet" feeder mice were given back to the pet shop today; unfortunatly i had to make a deal with the mouselover -i'd do anything to get rid of those stinky things- next week he is allowed to get himself a crested gecko. yup...i live in a zoo

my new pup likes to play lion tamer with one of the cats. she puts the cats entire head in her mouth! the poor kittie just sits there, maybe she enjoys it!

helinka, how do you keep the cats and dog from getting to the other animals?

in college, my housemates had two dogs, two cats, 3 fishtanks, two ferrets, and one bird that didn't last too long. :)

i have to cats, but they live with my fiance now. i really, really, really miss them.

DeoreDX, my fiance lives about 2 hrs away, so I only get to see them on the weekends I go up there.

smiley- all the pets get along reasonably well - probably because we handle them all so much. the cats will spend hours watching the smaller critters but get all snooty if approched by one when they are out of their pens (i think the cats are secretly afraid of anything smaller than they are).
unfortunately any flying birds are considered fair game by the dog, but she plays mom to all the other pets.

SG, why don't your kittys live with you? you know, it's very good for your health to have a pet around. ha! maybe that's why i'm so happy all the time
