If you are anywhere within driving distance of Logan Canyon in Northern Utah, and have an inkling to make some great fall color images, shut off your computer, get in your car, and go there NOW!. It is absolutely stunning, with a mix of golds, reds, oranges, and enough green left for contrast. I gave it a go this morning, and was stormed out, but I'll be back there tomorrow morning bright and early.

They are mostly quaking aspen, scrub oak and scrub maple. Perhaps a birch here and there, but I have to admit, I'm not much of a tree expert. There are more either in my TT Picture Gallery, or on my web page

Hobbit, I lived in Logan for a couple of years, and the canyon is a beautiful drive anytime. Thanks for sharing. Wish I was there instead of here in Alabama. There is little or no fall foliage here due to the dominant pine tree plantations. I have to travel to the North of the state to witness any great amount of color. One exception - the popcorn tree (a very invasive species) and the ginko biloba are beautiful if the right ammount of temp and humidity are right.

Thanks Hobbit!

We are heading out in Rocky Mtn NP today to check out the fall colors.

Now those are fall colors! Nice! California is a little behind this year (from last year)

I wish I could just hop in my car and go there, but I'll settle for looking at your pictures - beautiful.
