“Last time I went (1995 I think - saw Powder) I told so many people to shut up or sit down that my son wouldn't sit with me.

I disagree about the big screen. If I don't sit back far enough, it's all a blur, and the first thing the kids commented on was how loud it was. I did notice employees "patrolling" with flashlights (we used to call them ushers and they actually spoke to you during the movie - you could get kicked out) and the theatre was actually pretty quiet.”

“My husband also likes to see movies on a big screen but in NY, it was crazy. Someone would be yaking and then someone way across the theater would yell at them to shut up, then the cursing began back and forth with everyone else jumping in saying to shut up. Not a fun time!

I prefer watching the dvds at home, but since my husband gets home early, we can go to matinees, pay less and have the theater to ourselves, so that isn't bad.”

“The Pink Panther is as good (IMHO) as the old Peter Seller versions. Steve Martin is the only actor who could replace Peter....go see it. Full of Childish pratfalls but I got a good laugh out of it.”

“I saw the Harrison Ford movie "Firewall" today. Boy did he get old looking since his last film! Now I see why they want "beautiful" people in movies. He was hard to look at but good for the role that he was playing which he did to perfection. It was a very good movie, lots of action.

“Saw "Failure To Launch" as a free preview. It was much better than I expected. It was funny and cute and I would recommend it.

It's about Mathew McConaughey who doesn't want to move out of his parents house, ever! They hire Sarah Jessica Parker to make him move without him knowing. It was a fun movie with some good laughs.”

Okay, I saw "Inside Man" with Denzel Washington, Jodie Foster and William DeFoe. It was 2 hours 9 minutes when movies seem to be 1-1/2 hours lately. It kept my attention for the whole movie and was very good.

Strangely enough, William DeFoe who is a fantastic actor was cast in a less than supporting role. They could have cast him in other parts that were better. It's very strange that they didn't. Either way it was a good movie, but it really stuck out to me that William DeFoe was underused.”

“I took my daughter to see Ice Age 2 last Saturday. We enjoyed it. I thought it was better than Ice Age 1. Included some cute bits that only adults would get. Some of the humor was inappropriate for kids, however.”

“I broke my own record and drove into the city to see four (4) movies this year. The first was The Constant Gardener, too much of a 'chick-flic' for me, but good, visually stunning and much better than the book (which I knew it had to be); Wallace and Grommet in The Curse of the Were Rabbit, which was just as fabulous as everything else that Park does; Capote, where Hoffman doesn't 'portray' Capote, he 'channels' him - weird and fantastic; last was Beowulff and Grendel, fun, but not really all that good.”

“I saw two movies this weekend and both got mixed reviews and wrongly so.

I saw "Centennial" w/Keifer Sutherland, Michael Douglas and Eva Longoria. It was very good and I recommend it. I didn't even read the yahoo reviews to see why they were mixed. I like the subject matter, it seemed interesting and I went and it was good.

I also saw the Jennifer Aniston w/Vince Vaughn. The critics gave it a bad review, but it was good. I heard so many critics say it was too real so it was depressing since it was about a break up, but it was quite the opposite. I along with the rest of the movie goers were laughing and I cried tears of laughter at one point. I also recommend this movie. This movie and the Centennial is why you can't always trust these reviewers.”

That Jennifer Aniston is not just thin, she's very, very fit. You can see she works out. She doesn't have not one ounce of fat on her. So then you ask, where did her breasts come from? It's done with mirrors, lol!!! Actually, she probably has one fabulous push up and out bra. She does look good though. I had to reassess myself after seeing her. I'm fit, but not that kind of fit. You'd have to hit the gym to get in that shape where I use a few at home weights which don't target all areas.”

“Saw Cars today. It was good but not once did I feel the need to laugh (it did get smiles). Good story, great animation but I preferred Over the Hedge by far. That was a funny movie. The characters were much more inresting and there were several laugh out loud parts. I'd go see it before Cars.”
