I disagree about the big screen. If I don't sit back far enough, it's all a blur, and the first thing the kids commented on was how loud it was. I did notice employees "patrolling" with flashlights (we used to call them ushers and they actually spoke to you during the movie - you could get kicked out) and the theatre was actually pretty quiet.” 10:03:18 AM 2/06/06 “My husband also likes to see movies on a big screen but in NY, it was crazy. Someone would be yaking and then someone way across the theater would yell at them to shut up, then the cursing began back and forth with everyone else jumping in saying to shut up. Not a fun time! I prefer watching the dvds at home, but since my husband gets home early, we can go to matinees, pay less and have the theater to ourselves, so that isn't bad.” 1:02:29 PM 2/06/06 “I am looking forward to a movie coming out this Friday called Eight Below. Eight Below tells the story of three members of a scientific expedition who are forced to leave their team of beloved sled dogs behind in Antarctica for six months due to a sudden accident and perilous weather conditions. Two of the dogs came from a sleddog rescue center in Spring City, Tn http://disney.go.com/disneypictures/8below/” 3:07:00 PM 2/13/06 “If ya don't like man on man love scenes, do NOT watch Brokeback Mountain. :| EWWW!” 3:14:41 PM 2/13/06 “Spirit!!!! Shame on you, you liberal pretender! ;-) ...not that there is anything wrong with that... Did you con CMB to going with you? LMAO!” 3:16:46 PM 2/13/06 “no um...I have a bootleg copy lol, im watching it right now.” 3:19:45 PM 2/13/06 “Naughty naughty! ;-)” 3:22:57 PM 2/13/06 “Still, I wish someone had WARNED me what it was about lol” 3:26:56 PM 2/13/06 “You don't get out much, do ya SC? ;-)” 3:28:05 PM 2/13/06 “The Pink Panther is as good (IMHO) as the old Peter Seller versions. Steve Martin is the only actor who could replace Peter....go see it. Full of Childish pratfalls but I got a good laugh out of it.” 3:34:00 PM 2/13/06 “bite your tongue, XL. I refuse to go see that travesty!” 3:35:24 PM 2/13/06 “"Brokeback Mountain" or, "The Ugliest Herd Of Sheep In The World"” 3:36:11 PM 2/13/06 “a friend of mine called me after seeing Brokeback Mountain, he was all wound up. I guess I don't get out much either, I didn't know it was a love story between men until my friend called me. :)” 3:45:40 PM 2/13/06 “Capote finally came to my backwoods locale. The first time I have been to see a movie alone in quite a while. The wife didn't wanna see it. I saved $10!!” 9:25:32 PM 2/13/06 “what BM said. I don't think I could watch a poppy version of the Panther.” 9:28:26 PM 2/13/06 “Not having seen it yet, I think seeing Steve Martin as The Pink Panther would be like seeing Roger Moore as James Bond! Travesty!” 10:25:37 AM 2/14/06 “I think Steve Martin and Kevin Kline in The Pink Panther will be funny as hell!” 10:43:57 AM 2/14/06 “I hate remakes as much as anyone...but most of the crap is worse....Steve did a good job.” 1:20:52 PM 2/14/06 “what's up with all these people dissin steve martin...he's a comic genius...i'd go see any steve martin movie, regardless of how much the movie might stink, he's always good for some laughs...i dare you to watch The Jerk and not laugh your @ss off” 2:10:50 PM 2/14/06 “That scene in Bringin' Down the House with Queen Latiffa when he was drunk was his best work since SNL. He's had a bunch of frickin' stinkers though (Cheaper By the Dozen).” 2:13:13 PM 2/14/06 “Steve Martin is a jerk! ”2:16:09 PM 2/14/06 “Steve Martin was a comic genius.” 2:17:23 PM 2/14/06 ““a friend of mine called me after seeing Brokeback Mountain, he was all wound up. I guess I don't get out much either, I didn't know it was a love story between men until my friend called me. :)” twigeater 3:45:40 PM 2/13/06 What, like the guy wants to go camping with his buddy now??” 2:43:08 PM 2/14/06 “I thought it was "Brokebutt Mountain". Yeah, I can't wait for "Eight Below" also. I'm such a softy...” 2:41:58 AM 2/16/06 “I saw the Harrison Ford movie "Firewall" today. Boy did he get old looking since his last film! Now I see why they want "beautiful" people in movies. He was hard to look at but good for the role that he was playing which he did to perfection. It was a very good movie, lots of action. I guess that skinny jerk Calista Flockhart that he's dating makes him feel younger.” 9:54:34 PM 2/17/06 “i decided i need to waste two hours of my life this weekend so we went to see date movie...this is seriously one of the WORST movies i've ever seen...i laughed maybe three times the whole movie...it reeked...a lot of times these parody movies just aren't funny cause you didn't see the movies they spoofed, well i did, and i GOT the jokes, they just weren't funny” 6:55:59 AM 2/20/06 “Saw "Failure To Launch" as a free preview. It was much better than I expected. It was funny and cute and I would recommend it. It's about Mathew McConaughey who doesn't want to move out of his parents house, ever! They hire Sarah Jessica Parker to make him move without him knowing. It was a fun movie with some good laughs.” 12:30:54 AM 3/10/06 “I guess everyone has heard that they want Paris Hilton to play the role of Mother Teresa unless it's a marketing ploy. Okay, I saw "Inside Man" with Denzel Washington, Jodie Foster and William DeFoe. It was 2 hours 9 minutes when movies seem to be 1-1/2 hours lately. It kept my attention for the whole movie and was very good. Strangely enough, William DeFoe who is a fantastic actor was cast in a less than supporting role. They could have cast him in other parts that were better. It's very strange that they didn't. Either way it was a good movie, but it really stuck out to me that William DeFoe was underused.” 5:25:09 PM 4/06/06 “I took my daughter to see Ice Age 2 last Saturday. We enjoyed it. I thought it was better than Ice Age 1. Included some cute bits that only adults would get. Some of the humor was inappropriate for kids, however.” 8:51:24 PM 4/06/06 “I took my kids to see it this past saturday too. Ice age 2 that is, not inside man. Pretty funny, but it was no Toy Story” 9:29:40 PM 4/06/06 “I broke my own record and drove into the city to see four (4) movies this year. The first was The Constant Gardener, too much of a 'chick-flic' for me, but good, visually stunning and much better than the book (which I knew it had to be); Wallace and Grommet in The Curse of the Were Rabbit, which was just as fabulous as everything else that Park does; Capote, where Hoffman doesn't 'portray' Capote, he 'channels' him - weird and fantastic; last was Beowulff and Grendel, fun, but not really all that good.” 11:20:31 AM 4/07/06 “I can't believe I forgot to post my review of "Thank You For Smoking". This movie was so freakin funny. I mean laugh out loud funny. It was hysterical. Well worth the full price of admission if you wanted to see a flick at night. I don't remember when I've laughed so much at a movie.” 2:16:12 PM 4/15/06 “I saw two movies this weekend and both got mixed reviews and wrongly so. I saw "Centennial" w/Keifer Sutherland, Michael Douglas and Eva Longoria. It was very good and I recommend it. I didn't even read the yahoo reviews to see why they were mixed. I like the subject matter, it seemed interesting and I went and it was good. I also saw the Jennifer Aniston w/Vince Vaughn. The critics gave it a bad review, but it was good. I heard so many critics say it was too real so it was depressing since it was about a break up, but it was quite the opposite. I along with the rest of the movie goers were laughing and I cried tears of laughter at one point. I also recommend this movie. This movie and the Centennial is why you can't always trust these reviewers.” 9:27:17 PM 6/05/06 “i just saw "the break-up" too.. saw it last night. it was cute! i liked the ending. more realistic than the usual sappy stories.” 9:38:30 PM 6/05/06 “Is today (666) the premiere of the remake of "The Omen"? Is there anyone else besides me who thinks they did NOT need to remake this movie? The original is fantastic, scary---why try to remake something that's already great? Hollyweird piisses me off.” 7:09:18 AM 6/06/06 “Isn't the Keifer Sutherland movie called, The Sentinel?” 7:25:40 AM 6/06/06 “The Parie Home Companion movie is getting some good reviews. Can't wait to see it. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0420087/” 9:06:49 AM 6/06/06 “Treebeard, you are right and also a pain in the butt. Yes, it is called the Sentinal or rather spelled that way, but pronounced the same way I wrote it (almost):)” 3:55:37 PM 6/06/06 “i can't wait to see the Prairie Home Companion either but i might have to wait for the DVD, thrifty jr might be here by then” 3:58:59 PM 6/06/06 “Hey lips! Is that the movie where she does the fuzzy butt nude?” 4:34:24 PM 6/06/06 4:41:02 PM 6/06/06 “Stove, how do you think I got my husband to see a that movie anyway? I mentioned the butt scene. I think that kind of clinched it, LMAO!!!!! That Jennifer Aniston is not just thin, she's very, very fit. You can see she works out. She doesn't have not one ounce of fat on her. So then you ask, where did her breasts come from? It's done with mirrors, lol!!! Actually, she probably has one fabulous push up and out bra. She does look good though. I had to reassess myself after seeing her. I'm fit, but not that kind of fit. You'd have to hit the gym to get in that shape where I use a few at home weights which don't target all areas.” 4:48:09 PM 6/06/06 “Probably a bad idea to go see it with my pregnant wife then, is that what you're saying???? I saw an interview with Anniston and they asked her how they hid her private areas in that scene. She said that it was, "Thank goodness for Keigel exercises" in reference to how the contraption stayed in place.” 4:57:19 PM 6/06/06 “The question had to be asked, lips. I did it so Nigal wouldn't have to. You know how shy and embarassed he gets, LOL.” 4:57:32 PM 6/06/06 “the omen was one creepy as fck movie. it pisses me off that they remade it. it seems like they remade it JUST to release it on 666 day” 5:20:24 PM 6/06/06 “I’m really beginning to hate the whole remake movie concept. To think that one day our grand kids could be saying, “Hey, have ya seen the remake of Lord of the Rings?”. May the end of days come before that.” 6:29:28 PM 6/06/06 “Did ya all hear? Peter jackson has signed on to do the Halo movie. Weta Workshop is doing the effects too.” 6:32:27 PM 6/06/06 “dayhiker, the sequence showing Jennifer's butt was fuzzy as Stove pointed out, but still, everything was in place. Yeah, maybe that would be a good one to skip. Not that your wife has anything to worry about, but who needs to see "that" when you're all puffy. I'd leave it up to her. Keigal excersizes, maybe, or that can just be a leading statement for you to think of her as having a tight.....(fill in the blank) and making her seem even more interesting to watch on screen. With all of the out of focus shooting they did of her butt, she could have had on a g-string.” 7:00:16 PM 6/06/06 “Saw Cars today. It was good but not once did I feel the need to laugh (it did get smiles). Good story, great animation but I preferred Over the Hedge by far. That was a funny movie. The characters were much more inresting and there were several laugh out loud parts. I'd go see it before Cars.” 2:16:52 PM 6/09/06 “Anyone see X-Men III yet? My son really wants to see it.” 4:08:14 PM 6/09/06 Jump to Page << prev
