The global warming scam should be called the global new deal instead. Its about redistributing our wealth to the rest of the planet.

exactly - funny how it just HAPPENS to assist in a socialist, anti-capitalist agenda, under the guise of saving the planet.

I think the market should determine what resources we use.

Well, get a market that is free of subsidies then. Make airlines support themselves, and car companies and banks and charities and churches and oil companies,etc..

Researcher: NASA hiding climate data
http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2009/dec/03/researcher-says-nasa-hiding-climate-data/

The numbers matter. Under pressure in 2007, NASA recalculated its data and found that 1934, not 1998, was the hottest year in its records for the contiguous 48 states. NASA later changed that data again, and now 1998 and 2006 are tied for first, with 1934 slightly cooler.

The truth matters

Finally some good news from Gorebal Warming.

map of how California will be affected by climate change in the future was unveiled yesterday by state governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.
The map, which demonstrates the devastating effects of global warming in just a century, shows how San Francisco Airport would be completely underwater if sea levels were to rise by 150cm (60in).
The coastline on the map was also

In all seriousness, now that the reality of the "peer reviewed" processes has been exposed, and the data has shown not only to be falsified, but to be hidden from further scrutiny, I would think the scientists on here would be like "you know what guys, you're right, this is not good for science and we need to rethink this".

The politics of it all, the "us versus them" mentality, has obviously taken over. I and others have been pointing this out for a while now, but I believe the blatancy of it in this case should be obvious.

So at this point, we should be asking what is going on here. Which is happening?

1. the alarmists are just in a "disbelief" period and need some time to cool off before the come around and realize they've be had.

2. they are somehow benefiting from continuing the scam, such as the other "scientists" and politicians, perhaps in a monetary way receiving a grant or similar benefit.

3. they have other motives they are unwilling to announce. Perhaps they do indeed want a one-world government or a dictatorship or similar, and are hoping that the mandated controls of government on business and civilians will be a means to that end.

4. they are just not getting it. They just are lacking in some mental capacity to see what it so obvious.

5. they are just trolling.

I seriously doubt it is #4. I also have reservations that so many are in the #2 category, although I suppose 1 or 2 on here may be.

Well, in one case it`s obviously a mixture of pride and a strong desire to enjoy the social benefits of being seen as an expert in science.

And Mutt I think if the scientists are proven to have falsified their reports they should be stripped of all titles, education creadentials (including high school diploma) any funding must be returned with interest.

Sorry but they have spent the last 15 or 20 years scaring the crap out of this nation now they should have to make up for it.

I`ve noticed a correlation between anti-Christians and global warmers....this lady lays it all out

A letter to the editor of the Syracuse paper

http://www.syracuse.com/news/index.ssf/2009/12/to_the_editor_save_the_earth_g.html

To the Editor:

I believe we should think about doing away with Christmas. Our planet is in big trouble, and giving up Christmas would help to save it in many ways.

Not having to do extra driving, looking for gifts, would save on gas and therefore on carbon dioxide emissions.

Millions of trees would not be cut down, allowing them to grow large and to eat up the carbon dioxide which contributes to global warming.

The land normally used for Christmas tree farms could be planted with fast-growing hardwood forests to suck up even more CO2.

No Christmas lights or decorations would mean fewer utilities would be used, therefore saving on our natural resources.

There wouldn`t be so much stuff to swell our already fast-expanding landfills.

I think people would be calmer, happier and less stressed if they didn`t have to deal with the holiday. Many who live alone or have no family ties get depressed around Christmastime. There are even increased numbers of suicides. Not celebrating Christmas would mean folks could save money and not go further into debt buying presents that the recipients didn`t even want or need.

Those wishing to celebrate Christ could have their religious and/or family get-togethers and remember Him for whom Christmas was named. It seems like we`ve gotten rather far away from that.

Top Climate Scientist Says Copenhagen Meeting Could Be a "Disaster"

In 1974, the National Science Board announced: "During the last 20 to 30 years, world temperature has fallen, irregularly at first but more sharply over the last decade. Judging from the record of the past interglacial ages, the present time of high temperatures should be drawing to an end…leading into the next ice age."

In 2002 I stood in a room of the Smithsonian. One entire wall charted the cooling of our globe over the last 60 million years. This was no straight line. The curve had two steep dips followed by leveling. There were no significant warming periods. Smithsonian scientists inscribed it across some 20 feet of plaster, with timelines.

Last year, I went back. That fresco is painted over. The same curve hides behind smoked glass, shrunk to three feet but showing the same cooling trend. Hey, why should the Smithsonian put its tax-free status at risk? If the politicians decide to whip up public fear in a different direction, get with it, oh ye subsidized servants. Downplay that embarrassing old chart and maybe nobody will notice.

Sorry, I noticed.

But this crowd gathering here is far worse than just a bunch of hand-wringing Hamlets dithering in Denmark.

Some 40,000 tons of carbon will be spewed getting this crowd together and keeping them in comfort.

That is the amount of carbon dioxide produced by more than 60 of the world's smaller countries in an entire year -- combined.
