“WOAH...you guys don't have Critical Incident Stress Debriefing? Mapes...sorry to use this..but Down South (LOL) that is mandatory in our department.
If you need information let me know, I am certain that your State Law Enforcement Academy will offer some training.

If not, check with the Fire Services I know they have some good ones (CISD) up there. Actually I do go to the mandatory debrief but then I have a group of close friends who get together and chew the fat over coffee later in the day.

There was an interesting Psychological Study that came out of Korea. After the war they reviewed vets who went home on the traditional Troop Ships and those who flew home. The troop ship vets (say a few weeks at sea) had less instances of PTSD than the air transported vets.”

There was a murder investigation on night in San Francisco. It was a young girl (19 ish) lying NAKED spread eagle on the floor. Everyone was in shock, this detective (suspect to being light in the loafers) walks over and takes his gloved finger and puts it in her HOO HOO...pulls it out and says " YEP IT WAS A RAPE...." Then he sniffs his finger, takes a lick and says "AND I KNOW WHO DID IT."”
