A *GREAT* day at the Flea Market.

“Auburn/Opelika has this HUGE indoor flea market. I've never been in there before so a friend and I go in there and tool around for a bit. She find a cool sequined purse that seems to be all the rage with the college kids regularly about $30-40 for $15. Nice. We toll around some more and there is a "golf" shop set up in the indoor flea market. 99.9% of the clubs are old worn no no-name brand stuff. I didn't pay the booth a moment of my time because I have to have the best stuff of course :P Out of the corner of my eye I spot a Titleist wedge. Wierd... that's a big name brand and Titleist wedges will fetch $40-50 a club if they are in decent shape. I take a look at the wedges and upon closer inspection I see there are three VERY rare protoype Bob Vokey Titleist wedge. I grab all three and slowly start giggling to myself. Then in amongst the putters I notice a Scotty Cameron Bullseye putter... I grab it too and leave the flea market spending $45/wedge and $90 for the putter. So... that's $235 for those of you without a calculator. Sounds pricey no? Well you will understand my excitement if you see how much these wedges are going for on Ebay.

2001 Prototype Hand Stamp Titleist Wedge

Compare it to My 2001 Prototype Titleist wedge. You might say that the other one looks nicer but you would be dead wrong. Because the player had his initials stamped in the wedge the wedge will command a premium in price :D Well I got three that will now goto Ebay!

Oh... the putter? A tour issue Soctty Cameron Bullseye. I've seen collectors pay $1000+ for them :D

I forgot to mention. I picked up a really cool metal squirrel nutcracker. YOu put a nut in his mouth and press on his tail to crack a nut. Really neat!”

“The nutcracker was $10. How can you pass up a solid broze squirrell nutcracker?!?!?! I didn't have any nuts to crack when I got home :( I plan on stopping and picking up some mixed nuts tonight.”

“Damn! That's an awesome buy dude! The tail actually cracks the nuts?! Awesome!!”
