Snowshoes “From their website, they seem to be the ones to go with, but does anyone have a pair of these, and can someone ofter me their impressions of the quality of Northern Lites products. Thanks.” 11:08:14 PM 10/12/05 “I'm in the market for shoes and the other sides Mag did a review on the top ten. I googled it. the northern lights were included.” 11:24:27 PM 10/12/05 “Hikin'Mike has Northern Lites...ask him” 12:41:15 AM 10/13/05 noooooooooooo “For FYAO I - I rented NL shoes and they SUCKED! The rackets slipped, so they wouldn't stay on and, at one point, they got iced up and wouldn't budge. They were unusable the whole weekend, forcing me to climb Slide Mtn in Solomon SNOW CLOGS!!! Perhaps it is just the ratchet styling, but I was NOT happy with the shoes. Obviously, my rental fee was refunded. I've had only GREAT experiences with my Tubbs and Redfeathers. The RF's are very economical, but not as sturdy (a good "starter shoe" that you can get for a steal on sierratradinpost.com) Other FYAO's rave about Atlas shoes. Do a search for snowshoes and you'll get info here. I thought this was gonna be a thread about aurora borealis! pffft! :p” 7:21:18 AM 10/13/05 “MSRs!” 7:40:13 AM 10/13/05 “I have them and I'm very happy with them. Just can't wait to be able to hike with them again...” 11:59:38 AM 10/13/05 “I thought this thread was going to be about Yankee light beer.” 12:22:14 PM 10/13/05 ““I thought this thread was going to be about Yankee light beer.” bloodpusher There's no such thing as a Yankee light beer. Those are transplants that drink weak beer. REAL Yankees drink hearty, full-bodied, full-flavored beers. ;o)” 12:45:04 PM 10/13/05 “hi sunshine!! :D” 1:51:51 PM 10/13/05 “thanks AmyG ' guess I'll go with the Atlas brand. 5 lbs, whew! Yeah. I did kinda like the thread name :}” 1:01:11 PM 10/14/05 “STP has some nice Tubbs on sale! http://www.sierratradingpost.com/xq/asp/base_no.71656/dept_id./est./qx/product.htm good luck. :)” 1:38:04 PM 10/14/05
