i have two now - Paul is 3.5 and Eli is 4 months. Eli's been car-camping twice and backpacking once since he was born. once Eli is 1 year old and hubby is done with the @%&&@! work project that has been ruining our vacations for 2 years, we are gonna have FUN in the wild! gatorade snowcones, here we come!

the trip is in the Colorado desert here in s. Cali. i went last year & loved it; can't wait to see if hubby & Paul love it too. sandy washes & slot canyons.

Deore's right - i've been sewing more. Deore, darling, have you done much lately? next up is a new, improved tipi tent, then more down projects. 2-person sleeping bag, sleeping bag for Paul, lighter down jacket for me... so on and so forth. maybe some pannier bags for llamas (yes, that's a hint of what's to come).”

Are far as sewing projects are concerend I made a shower curtain for my stand p shower, a new tarp, and hemmed some pants, and fixed some sewing errors on a Ninja outfit I'll be using for Halloween :D

I have big plans for trying to make a tent... but between golf and work I just don't have enough time :(”

“hi Phil! yup, llamas. it's the only way we can figure out to spend the time we want in the Sierra and have the kids along. that's a dang lot of food to carry, and hitching into town for resupplies with 2 kids in carseats is pretty much impossible. we'll stbale them on my mom & pop's land in central CA.

Nigal, you big galoot! 24 hours of me would ruin my carefully cultivated uber-hip mama persona. right now i'm trying to type while many stuffed animals are being hurled at my head. and my ignominious and ignoble defeats in the potty-training wars would be enough to make anyone change the channel.
