Hows it looking for everyone?

Looks like I'll be in late thursday night and will meet at the northern terminus.

Here a weather link for Wellsboro:

Hey Harry !! what up. Your trip leader is still in the woods (in the rain). They should be out by wednesday. I really wanted to do this trip, but plans changed and I'm heading up north to do a section of the AT in Connecticut. You guys will have a good time. NG & Spindle are great to hike with.
Say hi to Icarus for me.

well, you guys will definitely have a good time on the WRT. As you know, it is a fabulous trail.

I hope NG and Spindlette are staying dry and warm in this yucky weather.

I'll be driving in late Thursday night, so I'll flop somewhere near the northern trailhead. Probably get in some time around midnight.

Just got a call from home and Mom says 2 feet of snow on Thursday. So perhaps that translates to 1 foot. I don't know.

I do know that if it is our first big storm then I cannot rely on services during a holiday to clear the roads in order for me to get to Wellsboro. I do not want to count myself out until I see the white stuff, but I am packing my skis for my trip to Erie.

Indecision sucks, and the anticiaption is killing me. I just want to know in advance, but whomever runs the show doesn't seem to play by my rules.

I am getting my bake packer today too, so it sucks spending time getting ready for a trip that might not happen (for me). Sometimes I wish I still had my Subaru. Crap, crap, crap (PG version)

Hey Nogranola
I hate to back out , but I have to. Today I was asked to work the weekend and with Christmas coming up I cant justify not working. I really hope the rest of you guys make it. Be safe .

They are only forecasting 1 to 3 inches in the Northeast part of the state and said the sun should come out by the afternoon. I didn't know so much snow is supposed to fall in Central PA.

I'm back and this trip is still on for any that may be wondering. I have confirmation from spindlette and patrick. Icarus, I sent you an email.

Anyone else wanna play?

I'm still in. And NG, I understand the bed thing. It's up there with a hot shower. I did an ultra this year and was super grateful to sit in my car seat when I was done. I had an hour or two without motherf'n anyone on the road.

The fam moved up dinner and I might even get a nap in before I leave. I'm back to camping at the northern trailhead. I'd rather spend my eBay earnings on gear and not on a hotel room. The weather forecast is nonstop doom, but it may get pushed far enough away from me so that I can slip through.

I didn't pack a saw so perhaps someone else could bring one? Or else revert to banging it against the rocks (which works too). I am bringing my bakepacker to see what trouble I can get into. I just don't know if it is safe to sleep with my cookie dough to keep it thawed (and not hang it). Now that I think of it, I wish I had packed a bigger knife. THis could get interesting.

Can you tell I am bored? Perhaps I should sleep now....

I'll bring my saw if I can remember to pack it . . . going through my gear now. Anybody want hotdogs?

It's been a long week back on the cube farm. I'm travelling next week so worst case scenario I'll write TR's in flight ;-)

It was good hiking overall, 100+ miles of trail, good weather, bad weather and some nice surprises along the way.
