And those on the last of their four legs
What did Maple scrape up today?

Let's see:

Some dogs

Some cats

A skunk hit by a Staten Island subway train. She's in the middle of dealing with that one right now with the NYPD. I told her not to make a big stink about it.

And, I believe, a racoon that was hit by a bus.

And she wasn't happy at her previous jobs?

What in the world did they involve?

She hates the corporate world. It's understandable. Petty sh_t, backstabbing, etc. It's not for everybody...

Ok, Maple just called in. Update: the skunk didn't get hit by the train. But, he was stuck in a pipe by the traintracks. She's going to release him and hope he's able to go off on his own.

And, the racoon was not hit either. Poor thing was poisoned. So, that one doesn't look destined for a happy ending.

Things should smell interesting around the treehouse tonight, huh?

On the plus side, tree, you could always spend the evening giving mapes a tomato juice bath....

So, Maple just came home. Did a striptease for me in front of the washing machine. Woohoo!

Too bad she smells like skunk!

some useful info for the bath tonight:
hydrogen peroxide + baking soda + dishsoap = no more pépé-le-peau aroma.

How was the tomato juice bath, mapes? Did the tree man treat you right?

no tomato bath for me. I did not get sprayed. it was the inside of my truck where i carry all the animals.i had to get the skunk away from the main area and so i had to give him a ride to a large park and I got to release him. but the smell was pretty bad. i went to a house to pick up a sick cat and the woman asked if i had gotten skunked. LOL that is how I knew I smelled.

i was just so happy it had a good ending. even if i got sprayed, it would have been worth it to save his smelly little life. poor thing got himself pretty darn stuck. it took me and the help of two cops and two tracks deptment 1 1/2 hours to get him out.
i was in my hazmat suit, gloves, booties, glasses and a hood

i looked like a giant q-tip. LOLOL
