I moved into a trailor park 8-years ago, which shortly became an official senior park. I have not participated in any of the events, parties, dances, etc., and used the excuse that I didn't belong with all those old people.

But tonight I attended their Halloween party. So now I must be officially old. The party was great. 95-tickets were sold for it at $1 each. Most of the people were in costume and and they had prizes for the best costumes and for the winners of many games. Treats and decorations were on the tables and late in the evening they had decaf coffee, cookies and donut holes. Everyone stayed until the end for the grand prize drawing for the numbered tickets that we held. It was Halloween and up to that point it had been all treats. But there was no drawing. It was a trick to get us to stay until the end.

It was a beautiful, Halloween Sky this evening. As I left my place Venus was shining brightly in the Western Sky. Then I turned the corner to continue to the party's location and there was Mars, big and bright in the Eastern Sky. It is still there, but much higher and will be visible all night.

Happy Halloween to each of you.

Old people get roped into these scams all the time. It's sickening.
