LMFAO... damn subliminal sheeyat!

I slept around 12 hours overnight (minus the bathroom trip/posting of the Stovey b-day thread around 6 a.m. -- and aren't ya glad to know that??!?!? hahahaa)

(hey I was raising a couple beers for Stovey last night at the Bent Wrench... and eating these nightmare inducing Old Dutch kettle garlic/cheese chips. AACK! All to conclude a day when a school board member yelled and then hung up on me on the phone over a story... ahhh, such a LIFE! LOL!)

I was having this dream about KAYAKING!!! LOL!

I was with people at some kind of outfitters place with a huge pond/lake and pines and mountains. Very pretty. Most were newbies and we were gonna go kayaking in the pond/lake, which was kind of a supposed safe-type area to try it out. I was, needless to say, NERVOUS!

Everyone is leaving, but where oh where is the person who is gonna tell me how to do this kayak thing and get me in the safest damn one possible???!!?

Finally, I just get in one. And immediately I'm sinking. Sheeyat! LOL! So somehow I get out. It's not that deep so I get to a muddy type shoreline (I think this would the Upper Iowa canoe trip overnight site manifesting itself. LOL!)

Oh yeah, I have a nice big blow-up life vest on.

I get some people from the outfitter place and tell them, "I need a really safe kayak or boat thing. I don't know what I'm doing."

Sooo.... they put me in this thing that is like some freakin' dragon boat!!! Very narrow. A head on the front and back. LMAO! I get in and the skirt thing holds me in. I take off and....

I SINK AGAIN!!! Crikey! LMAO! (you know I'm scared of water, right??)

So, again, I somehow wrangle myself outta that and get back to the muddy shore.

Then I wander off and see my old neighbors turning a barn building into apartments (although it's not cleaned out very well! They are just barely starting the process... and have used old gutter-type things to create apparently very small chutes or, I hope, NOT little shiddy elevators. LOL!)

And then I woke up.........................

I really tried to kayak, I really did. LMFAO! I'll be taking that ferry to Cumberland, should I go. >8-O ;-)

Dream kayak for Christmas. I get the Wilderness Systems Palmico 145 and my wife gets the Wilderness Systems Tarpon 130T SOT. I hope to plan a Kayak trip before the hot weather returns. Toejam had requested I plan a Louisiana swamp kayak trip. I'll see what I can do.

Tango I want to hear your dream you big tease! ;)

My dream is that the ice breaks up early and Birch and I get to float on a lake empty except for the migrating waterfowl. =) I like early season paddling.

Yeah I know Sass. It was a story about a kayak company that made kayaks with mostly recycled milk jugs. The company (Walden) has since gone out of business. So I prematurely posted!

This is my dream kayak:

This would be a dream in southern climates.

Or this:

The Adventure with a sail rig on the Texas coast would be a dream.

I'd like to get a sail rig for my boat. They only run around $100.
