Cottage is greatly preferable to un-cultured cow mammalry secretions

I do not go near milk until signifigant bacterial action (cottage cheese, cheese, buttermilk, yogurt) renders it fit for human consumption.

I like milk, I like cheese.

The two horrible byproducts that appear between to two in processing (buttermilk, cottage cheese) are worse than horrible.

My dad (who grew up on a Farm in South Kentucky) decided one time he wanted to show us how they did things in the good old days. I have to admit the sugar cured, hickory smoked hams were damn good.

The awful #&%!$ in the churn should have been thrown out before we ever got to the point of straining out the cottage cheese.

Cottage cheese with hot sauce and fresh ground pepper....mmmm...or plain with slices of watermelon and canteloupe. Good stuff.

i agree wholeheartedly with chili!

the hams are infreakingcredible and I miss that about living in the south.

real butter is pretty good too.

but the part inbetween the milk and the cheese should never have been placed on a plate.

How hungry you reckon the guy was what first ate cottage cheese?

I make it at home. It's good stuff, a little sweeter than store bought. The ricotta I make is quite a bit sweeter as well.

I like taking ricotta and mixing in a few packets of Splenda and coco powder or vanilla extract. Sounds nasty but it's great.

I eat cottage cheese most every day as part of my lunch. I don't get the low fat stuff. I get the stuff that's higher in fat but only 4 grams of carbs per serving.

Cottage cheese and okra go together with the rest of the garbage. ANOTHER EXAMPLE OF A LIBBIE "STARTING IT", NOT SARGE, AS IS POPULAR OPINION.

i hate any weird cheeses, and i thought i hated cottage cheese forever...then i had this "perfect protein" salad that had cottage cheese, chick peas, bulghur wheat, and a bunch of chopped-up veggies & herbs. it was soooo good! i still wouldn't eat cottage cheese by itself though...

I've had several very good dips made with blended and small curd cottage cheese. One was a green chile, cilantro, scallion dip for tortilla chips----it was great!

My kids love veggies. I was a vegetarian for many years so it rubbed off on them. They especially love okra. I can't make enough of it when we have it with supper. I use it in Gumbo, of course, but I mean they eat it steamed right off the plate. Fresh okra is worlds apart from frozen or canned. They also love cottage cheese when served with fruit (esp canned peaches).

I had a girlfriend that used cottage cheese in lasagna (someone mentioned that earlier). It was tasty but I found it to be a pale substitute for good quality ricotta. Ricotta cheese is a whey cheese and is very different from cottage cheese.

Boiled okra is like a big snot ball going down your throat.

I like it pickled, stewed with tomatoes, fried and just about any other way you can cook it.

But I would starve before I ate either boiled okra or cottage cheese.

Other night, girlfriend say One Inch Wang do you mind cottage cheese on my butt? I say you no have cottage cheese on your butt, you have panty on your butt. She look at me funny.

Next time before I do crazy thing to her, I get cottage cheese and rub on her butt. She say One Inch Wang you so kinky. Then she rub cottage cheese on my butt. Verry strange. She like, I like.

Do this make One Inch Wang pervert?

pitts, come on now, cottage cheese in lasagna? I'm going to have to call you out on that one, lol:) And you picked on me for using bacon in carbonara which is widely accepted!!!

Great sandwich, a panini with gruyere cheese that is blended w/a tab of butter and a slice of smoked gouda spread on bread with Virgina Ham or Black Forest Ham with olive oil spread on both sides for frying. It melts in your mouth!

cottage cheese is a food of the gods compared to clabber.

Clabber is raw milk allowed to sour and start to thicken, my grandpa used to have it and a sweet bisquit every night before bed.

I like the small curd. put cucumbers or tomatoes in it, pepper or dill - reminds me of summer.
