“The chocolate I got for Halloween a few weeks ago didn't make it. Of course that's why I didn't buy that much chocolate. All the non chocolate stuff is still sitting in their respective grocery bags, waiting tog et chucked into the dutch oven I use for holding the candy tonight.

We're doing a sort of "night of the living dead" diorama in pumpkins out front tonight, too. I bought 20 little pumpkins for Laurel's class, only to find out that the class moms responsible for the kids fall party never got word that I did, so I was stuck with them. Never fear, they're painted up like good little small town citizens fleeing for their lives as the big bad zombie pumpkins devour them!”

Oh, I just remembered...there was this one little girl, about 3 or 4 years old I guess, who I offered the candy bowl to and told her to pick one. She looked in and saw what we had and said, "No thanks." LOL!!! We only had chocolate candies, I guess she was a gross-candy (sweettarts, etc.) kinda girl. Little did she know, she could've traded a Snickers for lots of gross candy!”

“When we were doing the hand out candy thing we would always have things other than chocolate due to allergies. Many chocolate candies are processed in places that also process nuts and wheat products. The pure sugar (gross) candies don't often have that problem.”
