This small one man tent looks like it might be just what I need for those cold nights in between youth hostels in Northern Scandinavia. However, before I sink any money into an Integral Designs Sola one man tent, I would like to get some feedback from anyone out there who is familiar with such tent or Integral Designs and the quality of their workmanship.

honestly...
you can get virtually the same tent, for a whole lot less. But, ID makes great gear. 3 bills is a lot for a solo tent. buck 25 gets you a sierra designs, with plenty left over for a great winter bag. good luck.

Also the MSR microzoid or the zoid 1 have similar stats and more room.

When I see 'tents' like that I always wonder where do you put all your stuff!?

Hello Stikmon, Thanks for the info! I did check out the Sierra Designs Solomente AST and although it looks pretty solid it also looks like it would take a lot longer to set up.

integral designs makes top notch quality gear. i have the unishelter and think it is awesome.

tango, i use a tarp to protect it all. the warmth of having such a tight shelter, added with the lighter weight of the tarp and bivy compared to my tents, is well worth it all.

here's my set up:
