“If anyone here is idle or lame enough perhaps they could search the threads and they will find that Stovie posts my name, un-provoked, a hell of a lot more than I do his.

And when I post something about HIM, un-provoked, it's usually something inane.........that means "goofy".

When I see my name posted by HIM I'm usually accused of something heinous like, mass-murderer, America-hater, terrorist-lover, communist, marxist, socialist or silly libby(the worst by far!).”

Hey Chili, I looked around a couple of years ago to see if there was some psychological research on the phenomenon, but nothing turned up.

I was really amazed that no one had investigated it, it being to rampant on so very many message boards. Maybe now enough time has passed and there's something new out there.

FEC Dismisses Wal-Mart Complaints
by Alex Knott, CQ Staff

The Federal Election Commission deadlocked on whether Wal-Mart violated campaign finance laws during the 2008 campaign. Because of the tie vote, complaints against the retailer were dismissed, documents released Thursday show.

Pro-union groups had accused Wal-Mart of unlawfully pushing employees to vote against Barack Obama and other Democrats.

The FEC investigate but couldn’t agree on whether there was a “reason to believe” that Wal-Mart broke campaign finance laws.

A statement from Democratic commissioners said accusations regarding “alleged political coercion” of its employees on the part of Wal-Mart were “very serious charges.” But a statement from the three Republican commissioners dissected the applicable laws and found that the instances described in the complaints and media accounts did not constitute a violation of law.

The party-line commission led to the complaints being dismissed with no further action.

--- The FEC needs to be fully staffed NOW ---

Tilty I am guessing you just conveniently avodied the pressure groups on the left like ACORN and the UNION THUGS who did the exact opposite.

The fact that "pro union" groups were making the accusations makes me move on without becoming too interested in the conflict.

scary. usually it's the loser that seeks vengeance. i guess eight years of repressed rage followed by the head-rush of new found power is hard to suppress.

"Accusations regarding alleged political coercion" by "pro-union groups" is a bit too generic for me. Basically it could mean almost anything. If this was so heinous why does the author of this piece of trash journalism have to quote "pro-union groups" rather than the unions themselves?
Yogisan

This was not up to CQs usual standard. Must be a new guy.

The writer seems confused. He begins with a violation of campaign finance laws then switches to the issue of coercion. Which was it? Both?

Then his proofreading skills let him down in paragraph three ----

I’m looking for other reports that might straighten this out.

I suppose it also thinks we should be buying cheaper Chinese ships.   It would rather close down Ingalls and send all the workers home.   Sure bubba.   Why not.

I’m sure the Chinese would be willing to take whatever is currently in production as scrap.

Petty Jealousy Is LOUSY..........
It is sad how those who live on the fringe of society with no past, present or future must try to piss on those who are moving along and living their lives.

This reminds me of a scene I witnessed in Calgary, Alberta in July 1980.
My road-tripping partner and I had located the in-town hostel and it was a sketchy part of town.
What iced it for us was when one of the native winos hanging out nearby staggered up to the curb and whipped it out.
This guy was reeling drunk and barely able to stand as he tried to piss on the cars that were whizzing by.

We hopped on our two-wheelers and roared out of there to the hostel west of town in the foothills of the Rockies.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhh........much better!

Good story, Marko. Not sure what it has to do with anything...

Here in CA it's funny how everybody talks about how WalMart is evil, but it's always packed. The local store does have a killer ocean view.
