The best gas here is $2.09. There are gas stations down in South Jersey around Atlantic City and Cape May that are down to about $1.80 now.

Well it wasn't $1.99, I paid $2.339 today, which is like the lowest price I can remember in quite a long time. $23.71 for a 10.13 gallon fillup. Still seems like 8-10 dollars more than it ought to though.

It was $2.10 in Manchester, NH this week and around $2.16 around here. $54.00 to fill the tank is a lot better than $76.00. When I was in Rochester, NY last weekend, it was $2.55.

I was really excited when I only paid $2.45 today here in So. Calif., but looking at the prices everyone else is getting I'm not so excited anymore.

On the bright side - that was the first in a while that I filled up my tank for less than $40.

Outamatches,
Your looking at the wrong spot in Burlington. If you go to Harrison and Summer there is a Casy's selling Gas for $1.94

yeah, you all keep forgetting that thanksgiving is just around the door. Don't be so sure that the prices stay this "low". [i can't believe I think $1.99 is low]

Gemini,
You are correct it will not stick for long. In Iowa the temps have been hitting the low teens at night. This colder weather will scare the prices back up again I'm sure.

It was 1.93 when I filled up this afternoon heading out of town to go to Rock Island.

So Outamatches what brings you into Burlington. I just moved into town about 4 weeks ago. I just took a Manufacturing Engineer job with Case.

Outamatches, meet Flash. Flash is like the guy in the Andy Griffith show I just watched -- he moved to town and knows too much about the people to be dangerous, apparently reading the hometown paper waaaaaaaay too long for an out-of-tower.

Hi FLASH! How's (booming voice" "Filtergirl??"

Well I watched it because the moronic guy on the TV Guide channel plugged it. So was that an early episode? Because the barber was named Floyd, right? But of course that wasn't the Floyd we know (too much about) and love....
