Anyone have any experience with the Lampray? I was thinking of buying one on clearance and was interested in hearing some thoughts if you had used it.

Never used that one, looks cool though nice and light. Seems like it burns thru the fuel, 5 hours per canister, I am assuming the big ones. 120 watts light output is very bright I think my small coleman is only 60 watts.

I have one. I've only used it a few times though. It's easy to use and the light is very bright, but it does eat up the fuel fast.

I'm doing great. Yep, I was in your neck of the woods. I wish you were there. I need to get rid of those dang gaitors of yours.

Primus Classic Trek Lite

It burns all night in the winter on low, but with the pizeo ignition, who needs to do that?

uses the same canisters as my pocket rocket and my coleman heater.....

neat little heater for a four season tent...remember to ventilate IAW the instructions!

How does that heater work for you ? We were talking about those last weekend while freezing our butts off in CT.
Condensation ?

None...
Heat it generates removes a lot of moisture from the air.... and it heats the small area of a tent wonderfully...worth the extra weight on trips into the snow and ice...warm up the tent, crawl in, then put it out once you are in the bag...same in reverse when you get up in the morning...one additional benifit of the heater is the ring the coleman folks put in the case for the canister to rest in...(Prevents tipping) is that it also prevents tipping of my pocket rocket...(Not that I've had many problems there).

Thing is, the heater needs the space of a Two man tent minimum, to be safe (my personal opinion) because it requires distance from flammable surfaces....so use in a one man tent is pushing the envelope...another consideration is that it's use in a sil-nylon shelter would be inviting cremation...it gets REALLY hot, just has no open flame...

man that heater looks like da bawmb for only 26.00. I really perfer the canisters over the liquid fuel. I realize the inherent pros and cons but I don't do any AT thru stuff and the canisters are easy and with no mess. Only problems is when one is low and then you have to carry extra trash around or in very cold <15deg temps which can be hard to light.

Looks like I will get the lantern then. Enough plusses for me really I need something lightweight that is durable and bright.
