Difference of Livermush and Scrapple...
Livermush is made with liver, cornmeal, and spices.

Scrapple is a cornmeal pudding in which the cornmeal is simmered with pork scraps and trimmings, then cooled and hardened into a loaf. Pork scraps meaning head and offal, etc.

FUEGO Yer Liver Mush!!!
I've tasted both...................it's the same thing.

“Livermush is made with liver, cornmeal, and spices."

Don't forget the "fatty pork" that goes in Liver Mush......ha ha!!

The liver in either item is the dominant flavor and the "scraps" are more or less filler.

dang smokygirl, I thought only those of us from PA knew what Scrapple was/is. The only thing I can compare scrapple to is a big block of clay. They look exactly the same.

PCT
Hey Smoke, FYI, when you're done with the AT and all the trails on the east coast, the PCT is 2650 miles long and takes 5-6 months. According to one site, 60% of the 300 hikers who start it each year finish it. I bet there are a lot of glacial rivers out there to swim! Some year soon...

Yeah JB I feel like I missed out on a great time.

AFter we left, we dined at Louise's and then went to the Linville Cavarens (growing up around this area and I had never been there) and went over and messed around Spruce Pine.

I am off Wed and Thru and Teasa will have to work so I might take Buffett the dog for a good day hike. Would take him on a bike ride but his feet cant reach the peddles yet
